I am too old to understand that sentence.

I would say that my previous statement is considered painting with a broad brush and was meant tongue in cheek. It was odd that I had had a discussion about that name with my wife and a guy I work with then it showed up here in this story. I am sure there is a Tonya/Tanya out there somewhere who does not fit my description, I have never heard of her though. And yes I do believe Tanya Tucker ( the singer) is white trash who just had singing ability. Unebelievable that someone would trade off their child. But the world is full of all kinds of people. I will venture a guess that her brain is drug addled. And if she lived in a single wide I would not be suprised. ( no offense to single wide dwellers, of which I was one for about 12 months a few years back)

I'd like to find something with a bull barrel. Towerclimber had or has a 10-22 with a heavy barrel and an adjustable stock for personalizing to fit the shooter. It seemed really nice. I am just not sure about a target rifle in semi auto. Ideally I would like to put a bull barrel on my Savage MkllGL. But it seems cost prohibitive. It would not cost much more to buy a new rifle already outfitted the way I want it. A 10-22 would be fun to have for plinking. There are tons of option for accurizing,

ND did not have a problem this time around. of course Kelly turned UT down last year before Kiffen was hired.
-
Calhoun would appear to be a better choice than Kiffen was with all things being equal. At least Calhoun has a winning record as a head coach. Something sadly lacking from Kiffen's resume.
-
does anyone know of a girl named Tanya who is not white trash? I about spit soda out when I read the name.
-
personally I think they are going to take the first person they can get. Not going to be much of a proper search. I cannot think of one person out there for who UT would be their dream job. Certainly not one who would be ideal from UT's point of view. So whoever they do get is likely to leave in circumstances similar to Kiffen quitting. Signing day is very close, a lot of possible candidates are not going to want to make a move now after all their work where they are at. I do not think Leach is even close to the answer.
-
they are gonna make a run at Leach. Why is Muschamp such a hot commodity? Has he ever been a head coach? Taking a chance on that is a real risk imho. Find someone who is a proven winner as a head coach.

I am not argueing with you about it Forrest.. They are drying up. 91/30's are harder to get too at some gun shows. I don't doubt though that more M44's will turn up. I would not be surpised if someone is sitting on a truckload of them to drive a higher price. The gazillion they made can't all be gone yet.

I listened to the UT AD's press conference. He had approached Kiffen this past Saturday about whether or not Kiffen would be interested in the job. Kiffen said yes he would have interest. So it was no submarine job anyway. Hamilton had a good idea of what was going to happen.

And I feel what you are saying. Lots of people are effected by it. Very similar to Kelly leaving UC. Of course no one at UT will shed a tear for the program they lift a coach from, and the timing will be just as bad for that place. There really is never a good time to move on anymore. At what point is it a good time to quit? After signing day? Well you then just signed up kids and then leave them flapping in the wind. Before the season? Well that is not fair is it? Right after the season ends? So you are quitting before a bowel game. See what I mean? It is hard to seperate business from personal when their are people involved. Fortunately or otherwise there is a lot of money at stake up and down the line in NCAA football.

I personally really liked that 'boat paddle" stock that OS sold off. I did not have a chance to shoot with it, but it looked very durable and I am sure some accurizing could have been done with it.

I have a Little Kings delivery coming this weekend, woohoo! I will have to ration myself and make them last.
-
geez, the guy took a job here, he did not marry the place. If USC was his dream job he has every reason to move on and take it. If my dream job came calling I would be outta here in a second as I guess pretty much everyone on this board would be. Just because he is a football coach does not allow us to hold him to different standards. The coaching position is a job, nothing more. He owed no one any more than the buyout clause in his contract. UT football will survive. Expecting someone to stay because of a perceived loyalty to a public institution is just naive.

Edsel from Connecticut. Lots of people out there that might be willing to listen.
-
why would he take a step down?

I don't have a name to throw out there. But I think you get the best results from guys who have shown a history of winning at lower levels, lesser programs if you will. Sort of like Pearl had a record of winning. If I was I was Hamilton I would look at who has had success in the MAC, Conference USA and the Mountain West. There are a handful of guys who have done well. Those conferences have shown some success with coaches getting "promoted" and doing well. Urban Meyer and Brian Kelly come to mind. Say Skip Holtz maybe. Oops, I guess I did have a name to throw out there.
-
Maybe Ut should throw several million dollars to Cowher. Doesn't his daughter go to UT?
-
you all loved Hamilton when he brought in Bruce Pearl, he was a God when he hired Kiffen, now you all turn on him. No wonder UT is sort of laughed at outside of here. Just sayin...
-
Spurrier come to UT? That's hysterical, flat out disaster. I doubt the high dollar boosters would ever allow it. Heck suggesting it would get Hamilton canned. Aside from it being a horrible hire. There is some other guy out there, they will find him.
-
I read Kiffen has an 800,000 buyout clause. Probably will be picked up by USC boosters. I think he is going to a :poop:storm at USC and thats why Carrol was so quick to bail too. There are some serious issues out there.
-
I called this earlier today. I had read Del Rio turned it down, and I knew Fisher was not going to go. Kind of figured Kiffen was the next logical suspect. One of my drivers and I discussed it this afternoon, I half kidded him saying Kiffen was going to go back to USC, he said no way. I really am not suprised. What a sell out. Going to set UT back a few years. If I was Hamilton I would have security refuse to allow him back on campus. An no meeting with current players what so ever. yank his school ID when he shows up and escort his butt off property.

You can't argue a point with logic, fact or an actual cogent thought. So you call someone a name. Classic. I am done here.

okay, been thinking it over I will sell you my stock for 300 bucks, you can even keep the stuff that is in it too.
