i like this hire. He is as good as anyone else they could get. Better pedigree and resume than a lot of the other names. It has been the most entertaining week of the 2009 football season here.

IMHO Dooley is about the best you all could expect considering the timing of the search and the level of desperation that has been reached. All in all I think he is a good coach. If he has any success at all he will surely move on when LSU needs a new head coach

Kippy Brown is a journeyman coach. Lots of experience at college and NFL level, just no head coaching experience. Gotta be a reason for that.

Hamilton ought to not go at this like it is a fire sale. Sounds like he is offereing to anyone who will answer the phone. Seems to me more damage will be done by making a crappy hire. They would be way better off to take time and do a proper search.
