it is not classified but I am guessing there are those who wish this was not the law. To the OP, sounds like you are on shaky legal ground with the whole out of state permit thing. Ask yourself is it worth the potential trouble. Maybe speak to a lawyer who knows TN gun law and would be there for you if you get popped for carrying.

seems to be a lot of this going on now, thread revival I mean. While maybe he did not need to show ID, I can't help but think showing his ID might have helped him avoid a ride to jail. I dunno, if I am doing nothing wrong and just a hint of cooperation lets me go home without a ride in the cruiser, I am showing the ID. But thats just me.

I dunno about a diet as in dieting to lose weight, but I am now starting a diet that will have side effects of better health and hopefully slight weight loss. Mostly it is cutting back on red meat and potatoes. I am a french fry-aholic. And knowing that and admitting as much may be half the battle. Of course I write that as I am eating my weekly allotment of lunch time french fries, LOL. But once a week has to be better than several times. I am also forcing myself to eat slower, much slower. No more acting like the family dog and wolfing down as much as I can in as short of amount of time as possible.

background checks do nothing if someone is motivated to carry regardless, so why even mention it. Texan's must carry concealed with a permit , printing can even be construed as brandishing. No permit no carry period there. OS has it right as to where you can carry concealed without paying a tax. Gun laws only apply to the law abiding.<!-- / message -->

it looks to me that someone in AZ has the right line of thought. Criminals already conceal without permits, the crime rate in Phoenix is terrible. In the five days I was out there gun crimes were on the news daily. All taxing people to have the right to carry does is keep honest law abiding citizens from doing it, especially those that really have to pinch their pennies. And essentially the fees we pay for the right to carry are taxes. Nothing like figuring out ways to keep the poor man down. Right on arizona, I hope you make this happen.
