  1. I had forgot about Easter, Oh well not that Saturday really matters. Assuming I can be there I will bring a weed eater.
  2. OS is good people. He infected me with the XD disease about a year ago. i do agree with Strick though, don't want no part of seeing OS X rated.
  3. Yall know the Obama comment was meant as a joke, right? If things had gone as they had in the past few years we would have broke even, maybe a slight refund. The wife in the past few years had done work on the side for one of her companies sales reps, for that she always received a 1099 form and no taxes were taken out of the compensation she got for doing that work. As the economy dictated in 2009 that stuff all fell through so she made no money on the side. And that is why we get a refund. And now she was laid off a few weeks ago as her company closed down the customer service center here in Knoxville. Another reason is because of the federal stimulus that netted most people about 8 bucks a week more in take home pay. I had payroll at my work adjust for that and take the extra 8 bucks out of my check. So when we got the 800 dollar credit on the 09 taxes I had alread made up for it in deductions. At any rate it is nice to get a refund instead of writing a check. I suspect in 2010 it will be back to breaking even or slightly owing.
  4. I lived there for 30 years, never heard of Cincinnati BBQ, and if there was such a thing it would be barbecue. Cincinnati chili is a greek concoction and it is very much the food of Gods. Dunno where you get pumpkin pie from, it does not taste like any pie I have ever eaten.
  5. buy a new one, they are inexpensive enough anyway. Used is gonna look used. Might shoot fine though. I have a used Stevens made by Savage) semi auto model. it looked like hell when I bought it, cost about 85 bucks out the door of a pawn shop. its a good shooter though.
  6. What is going on in DC is a bunch of BS, no one should have to pay near 600 dollars for the right to have a handgun. nothing but a Jim Crowe law is what it is.
  7. you have not had breakfast until you have Goetta on the plate with some eggs. That other 1% is consumed in Corryton
  8. synthetic should be less expensive. Bolt is so much easier to take care of. Pull the bolt and clean off the bolt face with a tooth brush and a dab of Hoppes or whatever, wipe off the breach face as best you can and you are really good to go. Run a few patches through the bore every once in a while. Maybe a little dab of oil on the bolt to reduce friction. Semi auto's seem to need heavier cleaning. Field stripping a semi auto involves more work and really needs to be done for lubrication if nothing else.
  9. gotta try this next time out shooting. thats great, nice shooting
  10. Great stuff, Will. I have pulled more than my fair share of gags at work over the years. Your post reminded me of lots of crap that got pulled back in the day, thanks.
  11. thats a freaking hoot
  12. if you find that deal get a dozen of them.
  13. Cool, Ohio is not a bad place, not at all. If I was you I would look at Dayton over Columbus if all things are equal. Dayton is really greater Cincinnnati anymore. And Columbus is a cesspool as far as I know. Be sure to develop a taste for Skyline Chili and goetta. Two of my favorite foods.
  14. Put my vote down for a .22 rifle. My preference for a first one would be a bolt action. mostly that it is very simple to maintain. Look at Walmart for a Savage as Garufa mentioned for around 130 beans. You will not be disappointed. Mags are out there for it. I just ordered two of them for my son and his first .22 And the Savage el-cheapo model will last forever and shoot rings inside of any 10-22 or Model 60. I know this first hand. You can always get a 10-22 or some other semi auto down the road.
  15. You can OC in Ohio without a permit, need permit for CC Other than that I think we are fairly similar with them. What part of Ohio?
  16. Well not really but it feels like it. For the first time since I can remember I do not OWE Uncle Sam any cash. Had my taxes for 2009 taken care of today and guess what. IRS owes me. Woop-dee-doo Thank you Obama!
  17. just because you can do something does not mean you should. Bacon should be made in the oven or in an iron skillet. Other than that just skip it.
  18. drug deal gone haywire?
  19. that definitely qualifies as "nicely played"
  20. LOL, I actually turned Snatch off. I could not understand half of what was being said. Caine's accent is not bad at all and I like him as an actor.
  21. that was awesome
  22. why shouldn't the youngsters insurance premium rise? Mine keeps going up. Anyone know of anybody whose premium went down?
  23. that picture reminds me of King George II and his picture of Mission Accomplished. Way to early in the game still.
