  1. I have seen weird stuff in the sky before. For me it is hard to look up into outer space, as vast as it is and not think something is out there.
  2. So the "driving" thread got me thinking. Any of you believe in UFO's? As in flying saucers or whatnot from other places, ( not from earth) Anyone seen one and have a story to tell? Anyone been visited?
  3. wouldn't just a primer be sufficient? I shot paintballs out of a SA Army last year that was powered only by the primer.
  4. everyone is equal, just some are more equal. Me or you would have gotten towed.
  5. Volzfan I believe you are correct
  6. Don't do it Erik. And if you do be doubly discrete.
  7. can you post pics of what is happening? I would not file on anything without being more sure, even then I don't think I would do it. On mine it takes near extreme effort to move the gas tube lever up for disassembly.
  8. imho we should hold off on a shoot at Mark's until he can commit to being present. Anyone have any other ideas.
  9. best use this accused Yankee ever heard of for grits. You going to blast them out of the air or wait until they go into their little whole?
  10. i don't have a dog in this hunt, but I believe CCA used to be a authorized vendor, maybe the constant bashing ( not constructive criticism mind you) may be a big part of why they are not that now. I dunno. I have been in that store two times, both times gave me nothing to complain about. it just gets to be a dogpile after awhile, and my limited personal experience does not validate that stuff. I know a few guys ( who's opinions I respect) who deal with CCA, they are not bitching and moaning about it. AND to get this back on topic. I have dealt with most of the Knoxville gunshops including CCA, Austin's and the one on Alcoa Hwy. Those are the only three I have been to that I would recommend.
  11. I am not so sure that this tax intentionally is aimed at keeping poor people from carrying legally but it has that effect.
  12. Froggy, keep us abreast of any updates with this
  13. Mine shave lead too, If I use a .451 ball there is not so much lead shaved, with a .454 there is a nice ring that comes off. I have posed this question to some knowledgable people, all seemed to believe that chain fires comes from the cap end of the cylinder, not spark getting past the ball. I only shoot BP for fun, I don't holster the thing while I am shooting it so I never had crisco run into it. Mainly use it to keep the fouling soft. And to keep some lube on the cylinder pin. If I was going to shoot and holster the gun the wonder wads would be the way to go then. Don't know how people fought wars with them, I don't imagine they got too many shots off before the gun failed.
  14. It's a poor analogy. The saying in football is "three and out".
  15. It is pretty much foolishness to ride your trail ready quad on pavement. They are not made for it and it is fairly dangerous.
  16. not aimed at you but this entire thread has become a "hijack", pretty much it has turned from "Good Gunshops in Knoxville" to how much piss can be poured on CCA. I have no doubt if a thread like this became aimed at some other shop(s) it would be locked down.
  17. I have a conversion cylinder for my 58 Remington, it cost as much as the darn pistol did, LOL. I think R&D makes conversions for most of the Colt reproductions as well.
  18. i doubt you need an investigation for that. They have payroll to meet, overhead to pay for, postage to pay for. Thats where the bulk of your fees go to.
  19. it is just a play on words, there is no answer, the 30 bucks is all accounted for
  20. you a bad bad man:tough:
  21. A Sirius question would be about satellite radio
  22. what else do you have to do? Sit on the internet all afternoon? oh wait that would be me I am talking about.
  23. and that is a perfect reason to not carry one. Glocks and XD's always seem to work with whatever ammo you have, the mags that can be gotten and don't need anything expect a drop of oil or two. 1911's are fun and I like them but I have seen very few that are actually reliable. And I was discussing this with SUNTZU yesterday. I wondered aloud how many GI's died as a result of failures with their 1911's
