I have them, they seem to work fine for .22's or pistols. But 30-06 or .308 made my ears ring. Kind of hard to tell as they ring all the time anyway. I do think they are worth the 17 bucks or whatever is was they cost. But double up with some muffs if you are shooting big rifles.

If you could only have one type of food for the rest of your life for example, pizza, or green beans, or pancakes or a t-bone steak, what would yours be? No side dishes along with it, just one menu item only. And health considerations need be of no concern. And it goes without saying that you can have butter on your green beans and syrup with butter on your pancakes. Mine would be a cheeseburger all the way ( hold the tomato), mmmm mmmm mmmmm

sounds good Bubba. And fwiw the guy at Walmart was not lying. I bought a shotgun a few years ago and had a previous address on my license. The FFL had me get my utility bill to prove my address. After that until I updated my license I would just make sure the 4473 matched what my DL said. Then no problem. Go back to Walmart and get a short bi-pod for it, add a 3x9x32 scope to it and you will be good to go. Post up a pic of the rifle when you get a chance. I have not seen a Savage in anything other than wood or black polymer. I think you made a good choice!
