  1. spanking is fine, hold them by the arm so they don't fall and warm their seat with your hand. This no spanking BS is part of the nannyfication of America
  2. I paid the tax guy down the road 35 bucks to do mine. No pain or stress involved. Money well spent. I doubt the clerk at IRS will even see your stamp, they have machines that open envelopes.
  3. Not too much trumps a tornado. The car that initially derailed looked empty. I wonder if it would have derailed if it was full? Wild very at any rate
  4. I used to be off on Sunday and Monday, I loved that schedule.
  5. I think the series is great. One thing to keep in mind here is that In Pacific they have done some background on the three main characters. You had none of that in BoB. And the time frame in Pacific is much greater. In BoB aside from Episode One it took place in about a year. Pacific takes place over several years, now episodes 6 through 10 are going to go by at a much faster pace. I see nothing wrong with showing Marine brutality on the Japs, they were pissed and issuing payback, that stuff happened. The tropical sickness and mental illness all happened, so why not tell that story? And who doesn't know who Chesty Puller was, especially if they are into WW2? I think Pacific is every bit as good as BoB. Both are outstanding. I am going to watch last nights episode over.
  6. I pretty much get at least one day on the weekend to do whatever I darn well please. I draw the line at not having at least one day off a week, no comprimise on that one. today was not all fun and games though. I did the weedeater thing here at the house and mowed the grass this morning. Then put the yard tractor along with the weedeater and tree saw in the truck to take care of my mother inlaws yard. Her dang grass was a foot tall in spots. Took near two passes over the grass to get it all knocked down. Fixing to watch episode 5 of The Pacific, its been a good day. Start the grind again tomorrow.
  7. they should have given Phil pink jacket. Fred is still the man!
  8. that is nucking futs
  9. seems I always get a 1911 mag at a gun show, its like a sickness or something
  10. Now is that just a "lose your job scenario" or is that legal trouble territory?
  11. took the little four wheeler out for a spin, been watching the Master's off and on. Now it is time for another beer and lets put some chicken wings on the grill.
  12. I read about that yesterday, what a terrible thing.
  13. 1 MPH? Wow, what an over achiever. thats got to be a record.
  14. thanks Jason, that is a swell idea! I think I will take you up on it. Contemplating a ride on one of the quads after this cold one is drained. Pretty relaxing with the Minister of War out of town making mischief somewher else. I do miss her cooking though.
  15. for SHTF wouldn't it just be easier and more practical to get a rifle that uses rounds primed in the normal fashion?
  16. near 3 hours later and I have had enough of piddle farting around down on the range. guess I will find something else to get into now
  17. did you get one of the real Colt mags? I mean they plainly say Colt on the bottom. Must be real Colt stuff, right? I got two of them, they work like charms.
  18. gonna go spit some lead down on the range for a bit. Need to fiddle with a .22 for a bit
  19. i think you went to Chilhowee to get a hook up with Skittles and Ray Ray
  20. no clouds in the sky and beer is my friend. what should I do today?
  21. I/we (the posse) used to get pulled over all the time back in the day ( mid 70's) Seemed like at least once or twice a month the township cops would light us up. Never much seemed to be a reason ,we never got arrested or ticketed just hassled. I was blessed that Dad worked for the Reds and was buddies with the Chief of Police in the township. He gots the cops seats at the Reds games all the time. The knew who they were pulling over when they did it. One time were were out joy riding late at night, drinking and smoking dope. It was before drinking and driving was a big deal and the Mothers weren't all that mad just yet. We got lit up ( in more ways than one) the cop pulled us over said I was weaving. I dunno maybe I was but who cared. he chewed us out, threatened to write me up and haul all of us in. Made us pour out the beer and dump out the pot, made me throw my pipe into the woods. Threatened that if he saw my car back on the steeet that night he was going to run us in. So what did we do? Went back to my house to get my car off the street, went two doors down and got in Larry's car, skanked some beer from his Dad and went back out. All in all a typical weekend night in Delhi.
  22. I dunno, I am not sure how one does not know where the gun show is at. But then again I am so important to the success of these show that they mail me a reminder with a dollar off coupon every time telling me where it is and when it is.
  23. you might want to try the Expo Center at Clinton Hgwy and Merchants Drive. Email SuntZtu for instructions.
  24. I am not sure why someone would go to Vegas if they were not into gambling and shows. Personally I could never go there in my lifetime and I would not feel as if I missed anything. But heck thats why we are all different and everyone can do what they want. Have fun and go sight seeing. There might be ghostowns, mining camps and who knows what else. Find a shooting range, it is fun to shoot in the desert.
  25. I was going to go back today but the stamp washed off my hand
