  1. I personally have gone so far as to send my wife to AZ with my gun show fund money and told her to blow it and have a good time. It is not much in the big picture but a couple hundred bucks made me feel better about what AZ is doing. ( she was already going to visit our son but I had not originally planned on giving her my money.) Oh yeah part of the deal too was she has to pick me up another gun shop T shirt from AJI in Apache Junction, LOL
  2. see Hexheads response.
  3. I am sure you are joking but the 1911 would not be considered an army or navy pistol.
  4. LOL that's something you don't hear very often ( if ever)
  5. No, the point was you do not need a carry permit in Knoxville to openly hand carry the Army or Navy pistol.
  6. I agree with StPatrick. I am more bothered by the fact the 8 of the 9 are from Harvard or Yale. I could care less about religious beliefs.
  7. Sgt. Joe I have a Hogue rubber grip on mine and I believe it makes all the difference in the world in handling recoil. It has grooves for fingers. To me it feels like it was made specially for my hand. Here is a link from a merchant so you can see it. Hogue Monogrip Grips Ruger SP101 Rubber Black - MidwayUSA
  8. here is a fact. I shot my Mosin a few months ago ( among many other times). On the drive home I noticed a distinct tooth ache developing. Seems I damaged a tooth by knocking a filling loose on the side of my face that welds to the stock. Coincidence??? I don't know but I ended up needing a root canal and a crown. Most expensive 78 dollar rifle I have ever owned.
  9. seems to me that all the promises from those at the capital about fixing this as well as people on here claiming how thrilled we would be and not to worry have kind of fallen flat. This new bill is not good, I hope it gets vetoed and is not over ridden.
  10. I cannot imagine being interested in a LCR period, much less in .357 magnum. While it may be an effective CCW it would not be very enjoyable to practice with and therefore would end up sitting unused. To add I do not find the SP101 to be hard to shoot, recoil can be tough with full house rounds but it is managable.
  11. so what did I miss? Watched it to the end? I guess I am old, it was tired humor anyway.
  12. A park is not an automatic no go anymore
  13. George Carlin defined the words for us. Sounds like a bunch of ****ing bull**** to me though.
  14. don't feel so bad, I was a victim of one of 8 armed robberies by the same two criminals. They should have gotten 8 years per count, they got 8 years total. Probably out on the street this year. Nice system we have.
  15. I am cheap but not afraid to pay for HBO, so I think they just are trying to keep me down.
  16. I think I used to have that thing. Very retro now.
  17. that should read, pepper spray gun whip them. No way does a guy making 8.50 get to carry a gun to carry out his job's tasks OT though I do not imagine to many troops are going to wonder or hope their actions will lead to being awarded with this.
  18. that tells some of us what we already knew to be true.
  19. I have had one for a few years now. Mine is a .357 Mag with the 3 inch barrel. If desperate times came upon me it is absolutely the last gun I would sell. I have no idea how anyone pocket carries it but it hides very well when carried in a holster on the belt, IWB or OWB. I am comfortable with the five shots, get a stripper clip like OS has and you have backup ammo that is not bulky. The price seems to be goin up on these at gunshows so buy it sooner rather than later.
  20. wish I could have seen it but Comcast is anti gun and does not show that channel.
  21. Los Angeles on Wednesday became the largest city yet to boycott Arizona over its tough new law targeting illegal immigration in a move that likely will affect some $8 million in contracts with the state. The City Council voted 13-1 to bar Los Angeles from conducting business with Arizona unless the law is repealed. The vote followed an emotional council discussion during which many members noted that their ancestors were U.S. immigrants. L.A. OKs Arizona boycott over immigration law - Life- msnbc.com
  22. if i am in your pan the pic will be worth more, or is it less?
  23. and that is why I wrote Human on the form. That question is part of an agenda.
  24. are we not at war now?
  25. I bet we have all wanted to do that at one time or another.
