  1. I did not want to jack the other thread so hence this one. Does anyone else carry a different gun in the summer? I normally carry my XD45 in colder months when more clothes makes concealment easier. In the hotter months I go with a smaller gun. Currently summer carry for me is either a Model 70 Berreta or the SP101. Both of which are smaller and way easier to hide.

While there is no law against it, it is very possible that if seen will cause unwanted attention and a major headache depending on the situation. I agree with Magic's method though just keep the holster concealed as if you had the pistol with you. ( the bold in the quote was my doing)
  3. actually it was. Not the reason I did the trade though. I am just not a fan of the M44. I have tried twice and it just never took. I much prefer the 91/30. Mine is a Finish capture I believe.
  4. It is simple really. Bush made lots of mistakes. So the Obamites can blame all troubles on fallout from that. I am not going to research it but I have little doubt that this has happened in the past when new administrations come to power. Anything they can do to put the blame on someone else, yanno?
  5. I am probably a blasphemer but I would take the SP101 over a S&W
  6. yes an Iguana. At least that what people said they were. I was amazed at how adept to swimming they were once they woud go back into the water.
  7. +1000 Free men need all the flashlights then can lay hands on.
  8. we did this yesterday here. I dunno where it is though. he is still a douchbag. one day did not change my mind.
  9. I have seen you Bubba. you won't melt.
  10. it has been decreed. Noonish is the offical time. Be there or be square.
  11. I give up on predicting crowds. Been there very early and it has been crowded, prime time near empty. There is no telling.
  12. I sent some lead downrange yesterday, but it did not fulfill my needs. Larger calibers and centerfire may scratch my itch.
  13. any interest? Late morning or so.
  14. it is legal in some places , New Hampshire maybe?? but they cannot do it and be walking around. Have to be laying down or seated. IIRC
  15. Gator's are nasty. when we lived in Boca there was a canal not thirty yards from our condo. Gator's of all sizes in there at one time or another. got chased by one out in the glades once when I was fishing by a boat ramp. The thing was huge. I am guessing easily 300 pounds. The worst reptile I ever saw were these freaking huge lizards that came out of the canal at the golf course I worked at. They would come up and sun themselves on one of the golf cart bridges. They were easily 5 feet long. And they did not want to move until they wanted to move.
  16. powdered dishwasher soap can cause lots of problems in the long term. The stuff clogs and is very hard when it builds up. No telling what it could do to seals and such. Stick to liquids. ( my tip of the day) Glad it was not an air problem, that can be difficult to fix. Our whole dishwasher rocks forward when you open the door, I can't figure out how to re-anchor it. The anchors are there they just have nothing to screw into. I never thought about legs, gonna check into that.
  17. i thought coral snakes were more of a Florida swamp critter. Saw a snake a couple of weeks ago while dragging brush off into the woods. Almost stepped right on it. It was black with yellow striping along the length of its body. It stuck its head up like I have seen Cobras do on TV, I jabbed at it with a stick and it took off towards the field. Saw a possum with a death grip on a snake once. I approached it and it let go and ran off. Looked like a recently killed copperhead to me. to add, I just looked at the Snakes of TN link. The black and yellow snake looked exactly like the garter snake they have pictured.
  18. is there air in the tires?
  19. Palmetto has 7.62x39 ammo, 1260 rd crates for 199 bucks, free shipping It is corrosive but I have used it before and it shot well. I strip the 59/66 to clean it when I shoot it anyway so not much tougher to clean it from corrosives. 7.62x39 Yugo FMJ Brass Case Military Surplus I might know someone who ordered it. My name is Mike.357 and I am an ammo-aholic.
