I think Gander's Mosin's were priced high. Buy ammo for about 90 bucks a sealed tin of 440 rounds. Aim, Ammo to go, there are lots who sell it. for around that price. Garufa gave good info. There should be something at the gun show for under 120 bucks. Look for matching numbers on the bolt and receiver. Other numbers that match or don't match really don't matter. By match I mean matching with the original stamp marks, not electro pencil force matched. other than that get ready to clean out some cosmoline.

got up around 6 am. Don't know why but I cannot figure out how to sleep in. So far today, I have done my laundry, two loads. Watered all the warden's flowers and newly planted plants. ( no small order) We have a rain barrel off one of the downspouts and to use it you have to fill a watering can and make trips back and forth. I think i made 8 trips. I have also changed out the filter for the pump in her water feature thing out front. Pulled stink weeds from her flower gardens and put water in the golf cart batteries. thinking about Goetta and eggs for breakfast next.

if you are in Key Largo you would be silly not to go ahead and spend a day in Key West. It is an interesting place to say the least. Don't worry about the gay people there, being gay is not contagious. Get your picture taken at the "90 miles to Cuba" marker on the tip of the island. Be real touristy and eat at Jimmy Buffet's place. If you drink alcohol at all you won't need a gun there for the most part. IIRC most everything we did in the keys kind of involved the stuff.

uh, this legislation has nothing to do with civil rights, or any rights for that matter. Do you have to pay a fee for rights?

he was steroid free, but did particpate in the era filled with amphetimines (sp) And I believe in one of his books he admitted to having greenies in his locker and using them. It was a different time then, Sounds like a sell out comment but it was different. undeniably if I picked nine guys to have an all time team, Pete would be on the field somewhere and batting leadoff.

I gave up, couldn't take it anymore. a three year old makes more sense than those people do -
I felt sorry for Pete once. I feel he was getting screwed. Yeah he bet on the game, but he sure as hell did not tank any games. And his crimes were committed as a manager not a player. Even then he never bet against the Reds or shaved runs. But..... But..... he was going to get a second chance, Mike Schmidt brokered a deal. All Pete had to do was admit he did it and express sorrow. He was going to be forgiven. The press conference was called, it was all set up. Pete took the podium and then..... He denied he did it one more time. I hope he never gets in. ( this being said from a guy who adored Pete when I was a kid. We used to see him all the time in the neighborhood. He was great. Would take time to sign autographs for us, toss a ball around while his car was getting washed. I even got to touch his batting title trophy, a silver bat. Grew up loving the guy.) i figure they may let him in after he dies. I don't care anymore, he is pretty much a jerk.

yep. I am on FB but I rarely post. I use it more to keep up with my son and he hardly puts anything on it anymore. -
what is on your adult beverage menu for the evening?

LOL, yep. High alcohol beers, liquor and wine. If that Ayinger was bought in East TN, I touched the case it came from. -
Exactly OS. Selig plays the " integity of the game " card. And of course after the 'roid era integrity in MLB is a joke. Griffey Jr being the exception of players of that era.

76 Reds. I do not think it is even close. Even with the unlimited payroll the Yankees have nowdays they cannot even put a team together like the Reds were that year, (75 too). Baseball has not been the same since money rules now and players are free to go wherever they want.

that sign is what is vague. Is the no guns a political statement or that none are allowed inside his building? -
I used to be a huge MLB fan. Dad worked for the Reds forever and we went to tons of games every year. When we got cable TV back in the 70's and I was pissed at the Reds for dismantling the Big Red Machine ( incidently the best baseball team EVER!) I adopted the Cubs through receiving WGN. When we lived in Chicagoland for 7 years we went to a lot of Cubs and Sox games as well as a few Brewers games too. I loved it. Then the strikes came and went, and baseball really put me off. While in Boca Raton i did go to a few Marlin's games every year, but it was more like going to a bar, I did nto really care about watching the game. It was more about people watching and drinking beer with the guys. I can't name more than a few players anymore, but oddly enough i find myself being drawn back into it. I have watched more ball games this year on TV than in the last 12 years added together. Heck i probably went ten of those years without watching a pitch on TV. Anyway we gets the Reds on one of the cable channels and I think i am becoming a fan again. Might need to make a trip to Great American Ballpark this summer to see a game. (and as a side note, my high school Alma Mater, Cincinnati Elder is playing for the state championship tomorrow afternoon. They beat Moeller 1-0 today in the semi finals. If we win tomorrow it will be the 13th state baseball title. At least one in every decade since the 1940's)

yep, though RedBaron beat me to it, I would hit it. She might even be able to make an old man hit it twice.
