  1. or what Garufa said. On my 91/30 the only thing that matches is the bolt and receiver. I don't think the butt plate or mag floor plate matters much. Even the bolt does not matter provided it was head spaced when it was re-armoured. And surely it was. And I would not trade my rifle for anybodies. There are many like it but this one is mine.
  2. been hearing that forever too. The most important thing to congress critters is to get re-elected. If they do this they will not get reelected. It's not going to happen
  3. if it was force matched the numbers would be electro penciled, if it has stamped numbers it matches. The bayonet obviously does not match or it would fit. I bought a bayonet for mine and had to dremel it out a bit to get it to fit right.
  4. looks like a Mosin Nagant, congrat's! Now get a crate of ammo. Starting fluid works pretty good to get Cosmoline off of metal parts, especially in tight spaces. Don't get it on the wood.
  5. I found the book one time in a used book shop. The book is great. Way better than the movie. In particular the book spends a lot more time and detail on finding the hunting hillbilly who is tracking the canoeers. Real good reading. Over all the movie is well cast, and is very entertaining. The fact that it is uncomfortable to watch in parts adds to how good of a flick it is.
  6. Jack you can use some of mine if it matters, but only the goofy posts so people will think they are yours.
  7. i have no clue what a little joe's is. Peppers is at Emery Rd and Tazewell Pk. It is not as good as when it was Papas Pizza to Go
  8. And around here the katydids make that sound. As for Angelina Jolie, I'd hit it
  9. apparently 179 dollars, providing they are mix masters and have no bayonet.

    Bonnaroo

I have seen four names of performers in this thread so far. I have not heard of one of them. Damn I am old. In spite of being old I wish I had the energy to go to it. Probably can be a lot of fun.
  11. pizza came from Peppers. the bone is from the chicken wings I ordered for the warden. It was pretty good. The pie was not overly greasy, probably only glare from flourescent lights and crappy camera phone. Plenty of crushed red pepper absorbed the excess grease. As for it looking gross I consider the source that made the comment
  12. pretty well sums up what is going on. Only thing missing is the Big O threatening to kick someones ass instead of providing some leadership.
  13. it is not bad, bones are a little big. I give it a 8 out of a possible 10
  14. My Ruger SAS
  15. so let me get this straight. You were mad that the owner of Calhouns, ( actually Copper Cellar Inc, they own a slew of restaurants) came out against the guns in bars law. Then you were mad again because while he was against it before it passed he did not post his places after is became law? Do I have this right? If so I wonder what he did wrong. he seemed to have followed the law and allowed guns in his places of business.
  16. it is 1:45 EDST, Africa hot outside, the mini fridge is stuffed with nice cold Stoners. I have begun my quest to empty it all.
  17. meh, not losing sleep over this stuff
  18. this happened again today on 640. Herd of cars doing under the speed limit, wall to wall. Up ahead I spy a car that looks similar to a KNoxville cop car except it has yellow lights on the roof, not blue. As I worm my way up closer I see it is a car marked "Police Cadets". I finally got next to it and it looked like a couple of 18 year olds. They were not going to issue any tickets period. I left them in my dust.
  19. we can only hope that AZ is a catalyst for some real hope and change.
  20. if you really want to beat a sign just cut through the back door into the kitchen, Those doors are not posted and I guarantee no one working will stop you.
  21. I deal with this crap all the time on I-640 never fails that a Knox cop or Knox County car or a THP cruise is running in the right lane doing 55. I get in the left lane and go by them doing 60. They are headed to north I75 or south I 275. They do not care about someone running a few MPH over. You can tell what is going on before ever seeing them. Massive pack of cars running at 53 mph. I weave by them and get on with my life.
  22. they ought to give the guy a medal. if more border patrol agents shot at these criminals it might slow down a bit. If AZ called for rifleman to volunteer to do a stint protecting our border I would go today. I will take my own rifle and supply the rounds.
  23. I don't have one of those but the chief just came back from a month in the valley of the sun and I have three new AZ t shirts. I was happy that she dropped the cash there. AZ rocks, can't wait to get back there myself.
