  1. me thinks you are stressing out way tooooooooooo much over this thing. LOL It is simple, I have no idea how anyone could flunk it. And I think you might need to change your nickname to Gullible1.
  2. It was nice seeing you again Tony. It was a real pleasure watching your wife shoot the 10/22. I wish we had a picture of it, the smile on her face while putting rounds on the three inch targets told the entire story. Seeing her joy and success shooting was about the best part of the day up there. I had a similar smile after shooting your old A3 and putting a hole dead center in a paper plate at 125 yards. OhShoot bringing the rain shower with him was a good deal too. It made for a very comfortable day there. The temp probably dropped 20 degrees, it was a real blessing. I hope it is not 8 months before we get to do it again.
  3. here is an idea I just had. Remove the base plate then drill 4 holes length wise into the stock. 1/4 inch holes more than three inches deep. Making sure that your cut leaves the drill holes intact on both pieces of the stock you will be able to realign the stock and reattach it down the road by using dowl sticks and wood glue. It then should line up once again. Just a thought.
  4. reverse gear. its a pretty cool stunt.
  5. you don't need an agenda really to have a big time in Chicago. Wrigleyville itself has all kinds of atmosphere. Lots of bars and neighborhood type places to get food. Ride the el train to the game. That is an experience by itself. And I assume there is still a great little sausage place right near the stairwell where you get off to go to Wrigley. One bit of advice on going to the game. Watch where you sit in the park. The coldest baseball game I ever went to was on Memorial Day weekend at Wrigley. We sat in the shade on the third base side, it was so cold, but people in the bleachers were shirtless and nice and toasty. Sit down first base or in the bleachers. I always preferred the bleachers anyway, right field, row three.. Leave a lot of time for walking around the place too. They do not make ballparks like that anymore.
  6. I think the real reason there has been no looting in Nashville is that to be allowed to loot a city has to win some sort of World Championship in professional sports.
  7. gotta agree with DaveTN about caliber choices. A .22 or .25 make very poor primary defense weapons. Both have little to no stopping power, especially on a motivated criminal. They should not be a consideration for this purpose.
  8. is it paranoia if they really are out to get me?
  9. Vontar I mut have missed it but are you taking the class from Mike @ Austin's?
  10. not to jump the gun, but I have text overlapping on the main page. There are icons for RSS feeds and subscribing to the forum overlapping type as well.
  11. its not cussing it is technical language
  12. How can you be sure who a bad guy is? I am not sure how to do this unless you see them execution style shoot someone else first. it really is a dilemna. Personally i picked #2.

    I SURVIVED

sounds like the good old days to me. I'd be happy to go back to the sixty's tomorrow.
  14. sounds like a not so pleasurable experience. Now if things are equal I recommend you go see Mike at Austins TN Firearms in Oak Ridge. They are great people and will be very patient with you. Mike also teaches NRA Basic Pistol and along with that you take the HCP course. I can't stress enough to get some training. Being relatively new to guns ( and your wife a gun virgin) the Basic Pistol course is a no brainer. just my two cents. Don't get discouraged by any of it. This is a terrible addiction you are getting involved in
  15. I wish I was suprised by this but I am not. Not suprised at all. This is a step leading to amnesty for illegal aliens, and giving them voting rights.
  16. TGO was down? I spent the day at the range, but would have done that anyway The new look is interesting. I look forward to figuring it out.
  17. pretty much all murderers are guilty of more than just killing someone. There are always lesser crimes involved. All I asked or stated was if being an illegal alien makes him more of a murderer than a citizen who murders. Someone mentioned rights. Doesn't the right to live come from a higher power, or is that right only guaranteed to a US citizen? I am not sure.
  18. I have a 80 foot hickory tree that up and died here. Was fine in spring, now dead as heck. Gonna have to pay to have it taken down, not looking forward to it.
  19. works now, very nice
  20. I expect to get a wish sammich for lunch and a big bag of nothing else. Same as last year.
  21. your pic failed Bill, but other than that it sounds like a nice tool
  22. so whats the big deal about the health care bill. Its going to be free isn't it? Ain't America great?
  23. meh, whats the big deal really. Lots of murderers in prisons. Probably all of them should have been put down. Does his being an illegal alien make him more of a murderer?
  24. i was thinking how helpful this would be just a few minutes ago.
