God Bless America ( while at Norris today we were wrapping up our day of Guns of Freedom. There was a clean cut young man with another younger guy who appeared to be his brother. Somehow we made mention of CAS being at basic training. I was pretty sure the clean cut young man was a soldier and I was right. He later made mention of being a Bravo 11 ( don't know what that is exactly.) Anyway we all spoke for ten minutes or so. Made me real proud that people like this guy were off in Iraq and Afghanistan watching our backs. if initial impressions mean much this guy impressed the hell out of me. I thanked him for his service and shook his hand. Made me proud to be an American. Big kuddos to all of you who have our back in service to our country. In spite of how F'd up this place seems now we are all better for what you do.)

Yes we are thankful he is a cement head. OS is probably fine. The blood was not out of control, no Lifestar or anything like that. He took a .22 ricochet off of a spinner target. I think i caught part of the same ricochet, or maybe what bounced off his melon. Lesson learned, keep your spinner targets 25 yards away. Total fluke incident. No offense Vontar but waiting until you eventually get a HCP to work on marksmanship skills is fairly ridiculous. And so no one worries, Mac was fine. Nice little dink on his forehead though. Maybe he can get some sidework at a 7-11 or something.

Glenn it might be difficult this weekend to get to the Norris PD. Several of us went yesterday and got annual passes. But if you can get to it they will sell a pass to you. At any rate the office you are looking for is in Norris right where the festival takes place. Sorry I do not know the names of the streets. I doubt the range will be so busy as to not get in and shoot.

Raoul, first off that was a very good post. Secondly, I think people don't care. You are right that many here are the small percentage who do care. The general population could care less. As long as their cell phones work, water comes out of their taps, and the cable TV works. If they have these things they are happy to follow the other lemmings. Our own gov't is definitely the culprit. Their concern is not to make this country better but to further their own political careers. If Obama thought that securing the border would be his best chance at another term he would do it. Our so called leaders are sell outs and self servers. The voters would rather elect a rock star than someone who is the best candidate. The cycle goes on and on. Don't know what it will take for the majority to wake up.
