I don't think it much matters with .22's. The stuff we shoot is not jacketed really, but kind of washed or whatver they call it. Glad you are alright Mac, I was just fixing to give you phone call to check up on you.

Was nice seeing you today zen. Next time clear it with me or Garufa about bringing Commie block guns or Eurowussie rounds to the range. Bring the CZ next time, I would enjoy squeezing off a few rounds. We will pretend it is May Day or something.

thanks everyone, I did not mean to sound like an ass. But I take my liberty seriously. I suppose if even one person read the OP and a light went off I succeeded in my goal. God Bless America ( while at Norris today we were wrapping up our day of Guns of Freedom. There was a clean cut young man with another younger guy who appeared to be his brother. Somehow we made mention of CAS being at basic training. I was pretty sure the clean cut young man was a soldier and I was right. He later made mention of being a Bravo 11 ( don't know what that is exactly.) Anyway we all spoke for ten minutes or so. Made me real proud that people like this guy were off in Iraq and Afghanistan watching our backs. if initial impressions mean much this guy impressed the hell out of me. I thanked him for his service and shook his hand. Made me proud to be an American. Big kuddos to all of you who have our back in service to our country. In spite of how F'd up this place seems now we are all better for what you do.)

Yes we are thankful he is a cement head. OS is probably fine. The blood was not out of control, no Lifestar or anything like that. He took a .22 ricochet off of a spinner target. I think i caught part of the same ricochet, or maybe what bounced off his melon. Lesson learned, keep your spinner targets 25 yards away. Total fluke incident. No offense Vontar but waiting until you eventually get a HCP to work on marksmanship skills is fairly ridiculous. And so no one worries, Mac was fine. Nice little dink on his forehead though. Maybe he can get some sidework at a 7-11 or something.

Glenn it might be difficult this weekend to get to the Norris PD. Several of us went yesterday and got annual passes. But if you can get to it they will sell a pass to you. At any rate the office you are looking for is in Norris right where the festival takes place. Sorry I do not know the names of the streets. I doubt the range will be so busy as to not get in and shoot.

actually I am suprised that they are allowing people to own more than one handgun. Daley must be loosening up some. how is that even possible? This is not over, there will be more lawsuits.

asked for a refund for last years key, cop told me to go ahead and keep it. # 38 here. Don't mind the rate increase. They could have doubled the fee and I would have paid. Best shooting spot in TN, IMHO ( not counting my little plinking range)

I have a new plan. Aside from what I previously stated I am hopeful I will not remain pissed off all weekend long. Hopefully Guns of Freedom will help in this matter.

Raoul, first off that was a very good post. Secondly, I think people don't care. You are right that many here are the small percentage who do care. The general population could care less. As long as their cell phones work, water comes out of their taps, and the cable TV works. If they have these things they are happy to follow the other lemmings. Our own gov't is definitely the culprit. Their concern is not to make this country better but to further their own political careers. If Obama thought that securing the border would be his best chance at another term he would do it. Our so called leaders are sell outs and self servers. The voters would rather elect a rock star than someone who is the best candidate. The cycle goes on and on. Don't know what it will take for the majority to wake up.

IN CONGRESS, JULY 4, 1776 The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America hen in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Shooting guns of Freedom, grilling out, and maybe drink one or two beers. Will be standing by with fire extinguishers for when one of the hillbilly neighbors sets my woods on fire with their fireworks. No rest for the weary, have to work on Monday.

you forgot sticks and mudballs and of course there was Mr. Smith's trashpile back near the edge of the woods. He seperated glass, aerosal cans and burnable stuff. Dunno how the glass always ended broken and the cans ended up in the burn barrel
