  1. do not respond if you sat on you ass and did nothing all day. I want to know what you did to make life better. Tell us how it makes your life better. Myself, I picked blackberries for hours. Even came across a wonderful suprise of rasberrries. Cleaned that patch out. And set to work on more blackberries. It makes my life better as the minister of war will soon turn the blackberries into preserves or jelly or something tasty. The raspberries will go on my cornflakes tomorrow for breakfast. Only a couple of pints of raspberries but I have a crap load load of blackberries which we will enjoy for a long time. And the best part is there is still a motherlode of blackberries that can be picked. so what did you do to justify your existence today? PS: and I have been drinking beer the whole time and of course that gives immediate positive results on life.
  2. wouldn't this guy have some kind of status with the Aryans in the joint? I would think he would come in as some sort of hero to them and be a little more protected. Guess not
  3. Alcohol is strictly not allowed on UT's campus, not in dorms, frats houses or parking lots during tailgating. Of course I know for a fact that alcohol is in all three of those places.
  4. they do not sell alcohol in Neyland. But if you are in a luxury booth alcohol is allowed there. The skyboxes are considered private property and not "campus". That's a joke in itself.
  5. the cop not in uniform was a patron at the bar, he got involved in the incident after the fight had started. ( heard that on the radio this morning) I assume he ID'd himself as a cop. Does not really matter. He was probably helping the bouncers who most likely knew he was a cop. I hope CDD does something firm here. There is very little personal responsibility among some student athletes.. And it is not just at UT. The bottom line is that the boosters and university condone this stuff. They are intested in wins and bowl trips.
  6. their is no comparison between guns made from injection molding and guns crafted from steel and wood. Plastic is fine anymore but it sure does not have the same feel when handled or fired.
  7. I would say that answer is yes, as well as yes being the answer to is Mrs. Zombie attractive?
  8. FWIW I do not condone fighting, certainly not in bars. The cop was off duty and not in uniform.
  9. no way, that movie is totally awesome. It was OhShoot's pic several weeks ago when I had a couple guys up to the house for a shoot/grill out/and a movie. Totally enjoyed it too.
  10. just watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind and now it is the Reds vs. Phillies to finish out the day.
  11. And this I was waiting for. Everytime a UT player ( well most every time) gets into trouble what is the common denominator? The root of the problem is alcohol. If everyone was held to the same standard the players might better understand why they are held to that standard.
  12. everyone complains that the players are thugs or criminals and out of control. I say they only are breaking some laws, what's the big deal? Go to a UT game, pick any game. Walk around the parking lots. What do you see? Alcohol use. Well alcohol use is plainly illegal on campus. NO question about it. But everyone laughs and looks the other way pretty much. Even alcohol is allowed in the stadium, provided you donate huge amounts of money and have a luxury box. So we expect the players to live to a standard that others are not held to. Well it is a bunch of crap and the university is two faced. The university bends rules for certain people then attempts to hold others to a higher standard. And then when these things happen they act all indignant. The place is a freaking joke. The bottom line is that money talks and money makes the rules.
  13. you smooth talker you
  14. that goes against the basis for any marriage. The axiom is "whats yours is hers, and what hers is hands off"
  15. I have to go with Cold Mountain. I have no clue why I ever bought it. I hated the book and the movie was every bit as sucky. I will qualify that with the book and movie were great until the ending. I don't know why I thought the movie would be better.
  16. was there even a third bomb ready to be used?
  17. same here, though in my mind I did not spell it that way
  18. As timing would have it, I was just flipping channels and saw Megyn Kelly. She is easy on the eyes so I stopped a ssecond. At about 2:30 today ( about ten minutes) she is interviewing the head of the New Black Panther Party live. Having seen her at work in the past I am think she will do her best to make this guy uncomfortable. It will be worth watching. OKAY back to the regularly scheduled thread
  19. I sure do love the early morning. Definitely my favorite time of the day. 5 am to about 7 am or so. Peaceful, quiet, no one else up in the house. I love to sit outside having a smoke and sipping some diet pepsi. listen to the quiet ( well mostly quiet except for somebodies chicken that is making a racket) I love to watch daylight gradually appear, the ridges coming into view, the dawn of a new day. Kind of metaphorical really. Life symbolized in the passing of new moments. whats your favorite time of the day?
  20. you can't be that slow, I am pretty sure Jack is talking about criminals
  21. I like kids that show initiative. I would found something he could do to earn a few bucks
  22. you can be assured that if there is a mosque built today there will be a push for shariah law tomorrow. It has happened all over the world. Smith is dead nuts on with his assessments of this problem.
  23. i think you need to get one as I want to shoot it
  24. a truly respectable HCP'er will be wearing a CCW badge. cavey said you wear the badge and the only reason you don't drive the decommissioned squad car is SUNTZU won't give it back.
  25. the thing I do not like about the Cricket is the cocking piece that has to be pulled. it is just unnecessary fiddling with a rifle with a live round in it. Closing the bolt on the round should be good enough for the child to know the weapon is ready to be fired. The Cricket to me looks and feel like a toy, where the Savage looks and feels like a real rifle. For the boys first shoot we used canned veggies, he was easily able to see the damage that could be done with a bullet. I believe it helped with him understanding the seriousness of gunfire.
