  1. On your behalf I considered today a total success. We all left happy and no one was bleeding.
  2. sometimes I cycle the revolver one extra time, sometimes I keep track, sometimes I eject a live round. No big deal
  3. And the guy denied it in spite of a big old hole in a target I had not shot at yet. I guess he was just an awful shot He must have got better fast, since he did not hit it again, LOL So then they moved on to your target
  4. sorry I hurt your feelings Jessohnineteenninetynine. I could look at them target stands and tell it was not 100 yards. Like I said I thought it was common knowledge. And 70below ( I heart you too) was almost right, I am pretty much an *******. So there ya have it. The only other thing I can think you need to know is that I prefer using the bench that is second from the right side.
  5. No. What Chicago is doing is charging fees for you to protect yourself in your home with a firearm. There is not even any question about carry permits there. In TN you can have all the guns you want on your person while on your property, you pay for the privilege of carrying off of it. Kind of like a car. If you want to keep it off the streets you do not need to register it. But if you want to drive it on taxpayer payed for streets you need that license plate.
  6. cars have AC that works? I dunno what that is all about. I have Polish AC.
  7. nothing like being vague
  8. mine is a rack grade beater but it is one helluva shooter. WW2 stock, HRA receiver and barrel, the rest of the parts? Well I don't care really. A Garand in the proper hands is a laser.
  9. MMM MMM MMM for me, "She who must be obeyed" made Italian Beef the other day, so I have a couple sammiches under the broiler melting cheese at the moment. Looking forward to having them
  10. I am a few ahead of you already, LOL
  11. jamie, Grat's on fixing your pipes. My compressor broke a couple of weeks ago. A piece disappeared off the regulator. I am clueless as to where is went. I guess it just broke, popped off and, well who knows???? Anyway i tracked down a replacement for it today. installed it on the compressor. And that took some imagination to get it on. I had to disassemble the regulator to get it on. Anyway I am back in business with being able to keep the PSI to proper specs in all the damn tires around here.
  12. that list is a big pile of ****! They cannot ban guns period! That is well over the bounds of reasonable restriction. Good God, Hi point is on there twice. I mean they are looked down on and all but they are safe to shoot. (I am going to shoot the crap out of two of them tomorrow, just for fun.) Someone up there needs to step up to the plate and do the right thing. PS: even assuming every other gun on that list is a dangerous POS that will kill people within twenty feet, at random, when it explodes, how is a Walther P-22 on that list?
  13. Nice looking Sigs Sarge, I am very glad you did not let the SP101 go.
  14. i thought the 125 yards was common knowledge.
  15. How does a A/C unit act gay? Is it coupling off with other A/C units of its own kind? If an A/C unit is not gay is it a D/C unit? It is not acting anything, It is a car and it sounds like it needs mechanical attention.
  16. you may not buy any firearm FTF out of state, period end of story. You may only buy a long gun out of state through a FFL. You may only buy a pistol through a FFL in your home state.
  17. explain
  18. I only need one reason to be against him, he is an incumbent
  19. ^^^^ that fire is entirely too hot or the pic is deceiving.

    Why?

    more money than sense?
  21. I will assume the rifle is a USGI mixmaster. I dunno, maybe you have one that was not re-arsenaled and the parts may match. Anyway a USGI carbine can be bought for 450 to 600 bucks depending. 500 to 550 would be a fair price for a shooter carbine. Something that has a decent bore and does not totally look like it was drug behind a tank. I have seen them for more at gunshows but I always chuckle at 800 dollar or more carbines. if it is a Universal I think it is worthless. at any rate here is a link that has a fair amount of info M1CarbinesInc.com
  22. MC, I appreciate that post, I do not feel so worthless after reading it. I can sort of do what you described. And I am going to use a thumbtack as my next target. What type of rest are you using? I pretty much shoot from a bipod and my shoulder or a bag on top of an ammo box and my shoulder. If I keep the barrel from getting hot I can get ten shots into a quarter ( coin) sized target. No way can I get ten shots of bulk ammo to do that. I can generally make three shots into one hole using good ammo though. Again barrel heat screws the whole process. After reading your post I think my standards were too high. Do you clean the bore at all while shooting?
  23. i know I did not hear that at my class. Of course this is not the first tidbit of false info we have heard of coming from a HCP class. IIRC this was discussed here once before. And there is no law about steps to firing the gun in TN. It is either seperate from ammo or not.
  24. next time I am there I am going to try to have a marker and make some kind of marking on that lock showing which way I need to put the key in.
