you should have never said gun. When you mentioned gun I would take that as a threat to use the gun. I would have called him out again. Pointed out that he was not doing his job, knows he was not doing it and is now pissed because you recognized him for not doing his job. At that point I would have shook my head and walked away. When and if the day comes that you have a carry permit it is your duty to avoid conflict. Walk away.

if you are going to stay in the park I would look at Cosby. It is off the beaten path more so than the campgrounds off of 441 or out towards Cades Cove. I admit it has been some years since I tented there but it was nicer than the other campgrounds. And there was a place down on the main road not too far that had showers for a fair price.

personally I would get a good attorney and try to beat the rap without diversion. I am not sure, but if I have to plead guilty first to get diversion I am not so sure I want to do that.
