thats where I am at. Currently re-reading The Corp by WEB Griffen. I am on book #4 I think. Good stuff based on historical fact about WW2 in the pacific. The main characters for the most part of fictional but they are intertwined with real people. The series of books starts in China pre WW2 and the last book is about Korea. Highly recommended reading if you are into war novels

you youngsters crack me up. I did not live in a house that had A/C until we moved to Florida in 95. Yeah its hot but I can get by without A/C just fine. You learn to find shade from trees and stay in the basement with a oscillating fan or two. back in the day, LMAO

my mother in law who has lived here for near 25 years now thinks there is gun registration. She has asked me a couple of times if mine are registered. I just tell her no. You do not have to conceal, but you have to have the permit to carry open or concealed. So we are not exactly free just yet.

Northern lights are pretty spectacular. I saw them once when we lived in northern Illinois. I pulled off the side of the road out in farm land and froze my butt off watching them for about an hour.
