  1. seems to be a consensus here. But one thing that entered my mind. I could swear I read somehwere (other than an internet message board )that if a 1911 hammer was on half cock, and it dropped, it would not drop with enough force to fire the round.

    Gorilla Glue?

Gorilla Glue is strong stuff but in the instructions at asks for clamping to be done on the glued pieces. I have not tried it on wood before. For wood I use Elmer's Wood Glue, works great.
  3. Hats off to David Blessman. He deserves a raise.
  4. It is obvious whats in Trigem's threads. If you don't want to see it don't click on the link, dunno
  5. Congrat's Willis. Stay mentally tough!
  6. Just finished One Second After this evening. That is not a scenario I want to see happen. I see no way my family would live through it. We would all be dead within months more than likely.
  7. did I miss it? What gun are you carrying today?
  8. I am guessing Kb and Glock23 were about to slit their wrists. The down time probably cost them 30 or 40 posts each.
  9. Where were you Erik? Thought for sure we would encounter you up there today. I figured it would be over run but it was basically deserted. Could not have had a better day for shooting.
  10. Keystone Light is the exact same beer as Coor's Light. Tastes great and is less filling ( too steal a phrase) You 21 year old beer snobs crack me up.
  11. I have two Polaris quads. One is a Scrambler 500 4X4 and the other is a Trail Boss 325. I am not sure what a lot of miles on one is. Neither of mine have odometers. The Scrambler is a death machine, bad fast. And I have never seen a trail it could not go up. The only downside on it is the lack of a low gear. The 325 is a nice rider. Both of them can do work. I have drug and hauled a lot of stuff around in the woods with the Scrambler. Both are automatics. If you are getting one mainly to work with make sure it has a low gear in it. And I would also stay away from a two stroke motor. If headlights are important make sure they are not molded into the body but rather on the shaft the handlebars are on. That way you can better see as you turn. I also recommend racks on the front and rear. They are great for utility and also act as a roll bar(sort of) if you ever flip one. I know the racks on the Scrambler saved my butt from more serious injury one time. There have been lots of improvements in the things lately, since mine were made. Power steering, independent rear suspension. Both great features.
  12. was fat Phils contract up when he was sacked? I still think the big issue is why isn't there a qualified head coach who looks at UT as his dream job?
  13. NCAA sanctions against USC are from Pete Carrol's regime. So when is a good time for a coach to quit?
  14. you canot stress enough to keep their freaking booger hooks off the bang button until the gun is sighted on a target. And do not let them touch anything while the range is cold.
  15. them wings were great. Used Hooter's hot sauce that the warden picked up from the grocer. The hooter's sauce has the consistency of margarine right out of the jar. Very thick. Paints on nicely. Pic would have been better but here was a three year old trying to take a bite out of my leg when I snapped the shot. I swear that kid is the devil reincarnated.
  16. how would he have done that?
  17. true dat, lol
  18. I am still waiting to hearhow Kiffen screwed UT over. And UT took the wood to Martin
  19. The bitterness cracks me up. Same bitterness is in Cincy over Kelly leaving. So the ex coach is supposed to stay at UT, or UC even though they have been offered their dream job. Not even mentioning the substantial increase in pay and the upward movement in their careers. This crap crack me up. Why in the world would a guy pass up his dream job? All any employee owes an employer is their best efforts while they are on your payroll. Nothing more is due. And when is a good time to quit? After the bowl game? Oh not then it is too close to sign up day. After the recruit commits? Yeah that is fair to a kid who thinks you are going to be his coach. After recruiting season? Well that is not good as you are preparing with spring practice. After spring practice? Well Summer camp is about to start. After summer camp? Can't quit right before the season starts. So when does a coach quit? I think you might be better served asking why there is not a candidate who thinks your university is their dream job? Oh yeah, you got sick and fed up with the guy who thought of UT as his dream job. Find a qualifed candidate who thinks your school is their dream job and the problem is solved. unfortunately there is not one for UT. USC certainly got what they deserved but it had nothing to do with Lane Kiffen.
  20. Highland Park is nice. Everything in life does not have to be about guns. You are not in Chicago so you can own and possess a handgun in the house. There are some hoops to jump through. But it could be worse. Do your part to change the laws there.
  21. I think they ask because their curiosity is piqued by people who knowingly break the law.
  22. tonights dinner, preceded and followed up with as much Keystone Light as I could swallow. buffalo wings and corn on the cob.
  23. I wanna hear how Lane Kiffen screwed you over? As for UT, 6 or 7 wins. Of course they have a future. I would say it is very bright.
  24. picked up my copy of One Second After. Can't hardly put it down. I think I am about half way through it already. Football game coming on and needing to eat a sammich so I do not drink beer on an empty stomache had me set it down. The book is awesome and downright scary.
  25. good thing he did not tell the LEO that he will shoot his butt with it. LOL
