I think it is okay, in my grandson's pack they seem more concerned with the boys participating rather than making a big deal over some uniform issue. Kind of like tonight, there is an outdoor pack meeting, the boy will be dressed for the weather.

Because they have been conditioned by goverment and society to let police look out for their safety and that odds are they will not need to carry. Many others have the permit so they can go to the range and not have to worry about seperating ammo and magazines and guns. Others may not carry because they thought carrying would be easy to do. Those that do carry know it is not always easy or convenient to carry.

They don't have to have complete uniforms, or really any uniform to participate. but it looks like that point is moot now. The book seems to be the most important part of the deal at first. Gotta have one. I ain't a Cub Scout but I am Akela. Very worthwhile.

I took mine from the Knox County Sheriff's office. It was not really boring and we got to shoot at their indoor range. Cost a little more but I think it was worth it if for no other reason than to use their range. what a showplace, and you get taught with a LEO point of view.

just for ****s and giggles I have carried four pistols. Moslty just to see if I can do it and stay concealed and reasonably comfortable. They were XD .45 at 4 o'clock, .357 revolver at 8 O'clock, .32 in the cargo pocket and a .25 in the left front pocket. No one knew. I rarely carry a back up, but when I do I don't like where I am going to.

I only discuss preparations with the master.

reasons to not carry, let me list them. 1. no way to secure the gun when you are going somewhere you cannot carry. 2. There are no other reasons. Only need to list one reason to carry. 1. You cannot predict when the bad guys will come calling.

I always figure if I need a gun to go somewhere then I am not going. But if I had to go somewhere like a mall I would carry the RIA and the Ruger. Yesterday and today I am just carrying the SP101 with a speed loader.
