  1. No doubt about that. I checked out Joe's linky and am at a loss for words really. Wow. People ought to realize when they post something on the internet it is there for all to see.
  2. well this may not end well
  3. caveat emptor And find a new gun shop to deal with. That's a load of crap not taking a return on it.

    My Mistake

I would report it as stolen and tell the police who has it, basically that's what has happened. Had you left your car there could she have denied you getting it back?
  5. Sounds like a ploy to try to make money. There is no law in TN designating what handgun you may or may not carry.
  6. People have a right to put what they want in their bodies up to the point it affects other people. Pills, Meth and Crack cause more heartache and crime than just about anything I can imagine. How can you advocate that the use of such things is just fine? WTF, wrong is wrong and using these drugs is damn wrong.
  7. I don't think I much have to worry about even having an option on eating polar bear, walrus, or seal livers much less a platypus. And I doubt I need to worry about the hooded pithohui unless I choose New Guinea to starve in. Possum would be a nice addition to having rabbit on the menu. And I keep salt and pepper in my survival bag. Sticks and leaves might not taste too bad with some seasoning.
  8. jail or morgue. It worries me a lot
  9. Winger I have no problem with anyone getting fat off their abilities or skills. Just don't try to make me believe the NFL has my best interests at heart. And while I am a bengal fan I would not spend one red cent to support Mike Brown and his quest to make money. The owners will all be crying hard times, the players will all be crying they are taken advantage of. the fans keep on taking it up the butt.
  10. Bud Adam's is one of thirty two elitist business owners who sole goal is to line their pockets. While I am fine with capitalism I find it repugnant that they get richer, the players get wealthier and they sell it to the freight paying fans as doing us a favor. No where in his letter does he mention cutting costs to the fans. Yeah good old Uncle Bud doing us all a favor. The man and his fraternity are singularly united in their quest to keep raking in the cash.
  11. ask to see an ID that shows he is of legal age to own a handgun, ask him if he is prohibited from owning firearms. Assuming he passes these simple tests you can go to the next step. Do this in a public place like a Food City parking lot. Do it during the day when people will likely be there. I guess it happens but I have never heard a tale on here where someone was robbed selling a handgun in a private sale. If you are still nervous take a friend or your Dad with you. If your still nervous just don't do it.
  12. I would love a K98 with Nazi markings on it. My milsurp collection is sorely lacking a Nazi rifle

    Knox Show?

his marked price on the Mauser was 400, he came quite a bit off on it to try to get me to buy. If he has it at the next one I might bite. I love me a .32 Auto.

    Knox Show?

I met up with OS today at the Chilhowee show. we had a very relaxing afternoon of walking up and down the aisles. I have never been to one on a Sunday afternoon before and I think I liked it better than Saturday mornings. Very slow paced, though we did get the hard sell on some crap from a few vendor's. we spend some time talking to the Luger man. He showed me some Nazi marking on a few guns and I really felt educated after talking to him. Aside from his WW2 Lugers I really liked a Mauser in 7.65 that he had for sale. Fortunately ( or otherwise) for me I did not have enough cash to buy it. But in all fairness he made me a great offer on it. OS tried to bedevil me by lending me a Benjamin but I said no way. Maybe the next show, who knows? I made a offer on a Garand bayonet and sheath that a guy had, but he would not budge on it. His asking price was fair, very fair. But I want to feel like I am getting a deal, so I smiled and said thank you anyway. Wow it was a fair price, I probably should have snapped it up. I ended up walking through the entire place and found nothing I wanted other than the Mauser and bayonet. So I settled on a few boxes of Tulloma .30 Carbine ammo that was economically priced and a 4 oz. bottle of CLP. I left happy and it was a day well spent with a good friend. i was disappointed in the selection of Milsurp rifles, not a lot there and nothing got my interest that was there. ( but I hit paydirt earlier in the week on a classic USGI arm so all was good anyway) I am regretting the Mauser and bayonet though, wish I was flush like so many here seem to be.

    My new 1911

nice looking piece Caveman, loving them grips. I fondled one at the gunshow today, they seem really nice.
  16. dude I about choked, thats funny as hell. ken walked right into that
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHA, gotta be prepared
  18. I think garufa nailed it. There is hardly a family in east TN that is not affected by pills in some shape or manner. Drug addicts are everywhere, and to think they are not is naive.
  19. btw, how is life in the basement?
  20. Erik we discussed one of your shooting flaws this afternoon.
  21. hey dude, don't call me an idiot.
  22. When his goes "fully" then we can talk about how much we like shooting it. In spite of 200 people shooting at once it was one of the most fun days at Norris ever.
  23. yep chaos day is a perfect descriptor. Erik the fire was long before Lassie started doing laps on the range looking for downed ducks. Dunno where you were.
