  1. haha, I figured there weren't too many who would get it. You been here a while.
  2. I wonder if he carries any lever guns that used to be used by operator's in Panama?
  3. I do not really discount the defensive power of a .25. But to be sure it is limited to a "get off me" round. About the best use for it in a defensive situation would be stick it in someone's ear to make them listen.
  4. because a doctor WILL find something wrong. Doctors have a license to practice. When they get it right they can treat me, but they sure aren't practicing on me. Hang in there Robin
  5. lighten up Francis. The OP's question has been answered.
  6. I actually shot SuntZu once with my 25. When he found out about it he was really mad. The round is not worth a darn for self defense yanno? Just use whatever will feed reliably.
  7. So even if it did limit you to what you could carry, is not carrying or carrying illegally a better option?
  8. guns scare me, but I do have a slingshot.
  9. Tulip and Dolomite, no worries about this afternoon. I had a really good time and look forward to gathering with you all again sometime. That .45 acp bolt rifle was very unique and a pleasure to fire. Heck it was all fun. I loved the 9mm AR too, it was even better than my Hi Point Thanks for having us out!
  10. I am guessing OS is thankful that he did not leave the thermos laying around. Very entertaining afternoon for sure.
  11. that's hysterical. Almost as entertaining as the tractor delay this afternoon.
  12. when I worked retail I always got a kick out of people who force their ID upon me saying " I know you have to see this" Usually they were people obviously old enough. I would simply say "I don't need that". Then they would get a look on their face like I was some kind of ass. I might be some kind of an ass, heck I know I am but I did not need an ID to sell wine or spirits. And I always got a kick out of women who were obviously old enough and I would ask for ID to amuse myself and they would get a little grin on their face like they actually thought I was wondering if they were at least 21. And I never kid myself that when I get carded there is any chance in hell I look like I might not look my age. i am pretty sure that off premise consumption beer sales still lawfully require ID, not sure about on premise consumption. Package stores definitely don't have to see ID by law. And if asked for zip code or phone number I simply tell them they don't need it. No one has ever forced the issue.
  13. burning our food is not smart, period.
  14. I just wish the damn .gov would stop ***** footing around. They can pretend all they want that we are in the middle east (militarily) to be savior's or whatever. Just take their damn oil and get it over with. Of course in a sense we are taking it. Just those who benefit from it are not us hoople heads who need to consume it to get by in life, but rather those who are wealthy and stand to get wealthier from higher prices. Oil prices are just another way for the man to keep his foot on our necks.
  15. Erik, you need to card all alcohol consuming customers in the restaraunt. I dunno if ABC fines you for not doing it ( not likely I think) or if they come after the owner( most likely). Anyway the "law" in it does not matter, your restaruants policy is to card so do it. And it does not bother me in the least to show ID even though I appear to be plenty old enough for libation.
  16. talk about a SHTF event. If that happens things won't be the same aournd this country any longer. Ten dollar gas and who can afford to commute to work? Buy gas or buy food. you make the choice. Not that food would remain affordable for very long.
  17. I see no need for this law. If something is done under Sharia law and it is against laws here they will answer for it. Saying that what they did falls under Sharia law is not a defense. Maybe though this law is some foresight. I could see the possiblity of a liberal judge, somehwere down the road excusing a person for a crime commited and using their religious rules as a defense. As stupid as that sounds carazier stuff has happened.
  18. maybe his car is a take home? Maybe he had to run home to get his bullets? Maybe he went home for lunch? There could be any number of legitimate reasons why he was there.
  19. His lawsuit makes good points and I am not so sure he has actually broken one single gun carry law in Tennessee. I am not a fan of Lenny but he may well win this one.
  20. finally proof. Now if only someone could prove NRA bumper stickers get your car broken into.
  21. so the location of your open carry matters? Who cares where? Can you assume where trouble will show up at?
  22. You gotta ask yourself are you willing to shoot someone over it? I dunno, might be best to be a good witness and be ready to jump in if it escalates. Tough call. By the time she is flopped on the ground you ought to know it was not a firearm he hit her with. Just the physical appearance of another man will most likely make the bad guy back off. He is thinking easy pickings.
  23. the biggest thing I see of blue collar vs. white collar is that white collar guys are fairly expendable. The world will always need those who are tradesman or work with their brawn. If the world is EMP'd and all you know is how to run a computer network you are going to be down the list on the foodchain. But the guy who can weld, make things with his hands, or is used to working with their back will be on top.
  24. I can't recall ever seeing someone all decked out like a tacticool fool and OCing. When I dres in that manner I am concealing like always. Even if I did see someone dressed in that manner AND OCing I doubt I would worry much about it. Remember, someone OCing has gone through training, been vetted by the state and has a carry permit. ( of course there may be the square peg trying to fit in a round hole who is cheating) If you don't like their manner of dress that is your problem not theirs. Get over it. They are not breaking any laws. Near as I can figure a criminal is not going to OC. ( of course if he did another bad guy would steal his gun as he would be the primnary target during a crime being committed, so it would kind of be a wash)
  25. so someone open carrying is portraying a bad ass?? Are you serious? You gotta be freakin kidding. There is no law in TN against OCing. You don't wanna do it, fiine. But the fact you think that someone lawfully going about their business is a wannabe bad ass is beyond words.
