  1. i use stock sites always. I really try to aim the slide or barrel.
  2. I like Beck. I don't watch his show much. I like very much that after he preaches about a topic he encourages people to go and do their own research, to not take his word for things. Not sure how that is bad. Pretty much all the rest want you to believe their schtick with blind faith.
  3. follow the law. Taking a chance at being the victim of a violet crime would be preferable than carrying anyway and ending up in prison where being the victim of something bad is about guaranteed. But thats just me. Awareness and caution can see a person through a lot. Getting beaten and butt slammed in prison, prolly not much fun.
  4. just shows that there is no difference at all between Dem's and Repub's. None, not an iota. If I applied this method to my personal budget I would save about 35 bucks a year. Real stand up group there in DC. **** them all, it is time to start over.
  5. First off let me firmly plant my feet in the " there is no right to carry a gun in TN" camp. Second, I will inform the cop if I ever get pulled over carrying as it seems there is a pretty good chance that the cop will like it and let me go without a ticket. It's a no brainer.
  6. Isn't 25 bucks about what a place charges to do a transfer? Even with another ten bucks for a TICS check added on, that in itself should not be enough to stop someone who is bent on a safe sale from doing it this way. So why bother with another law? No point to it.
  7. My son and his wife were in denial ( I was too) for a long time. They had him diagnosed and there is no doubt. Everyone who checked him aggres on it. I dunno if he will ever talk and potty training him has been difficult for them as he just does not communicate easily. He knows sign language, about 100 words I think they said. If you just saw him sitting and playing you would never know things aren't quite right. It is a very weird disease ( or whatver you would call it). I am thankful my son has a good job and resources to help the little one along. As for normal, who has the right to say?
  8. does not sound right to me. I wonder how much smaller the target is.
  9. get the kid checked out, ( there is no sort of autistic, it is all or none) IIRC one in 110 children are autistic. My youngest grandson loves the iphone. He figured out on his own how to unlock it and how to find videos that were on it. It amazes me how smart he is. But in other ways it is hard to accept.
  10. I sold a truck back in about 1992 to a guy. Less than a week later he hit and killed two woman in it. He was drunk as hell at 10 AM and they were on their way to church. My wife was watching the local news and saw the film of the results of the wreck, it was my truck no doubt. I felt no guilt in the deal, but I was pissed at what he did to my baby.
  11. dunno why you thought that ammo was hard to get for them. Easy to find and still cheap. Would not buy one for bench rest shooting, but just to blast away they are hard to beat. this thread seems to have been dead for a while but it has a lot of good info in it and may explain to you why some of us love them http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/curio-relics-black-powder/23616-more-mosin-fact.html?highlight=mosin+fact
  12. so you are driving an old beater that gets no MPG at all. Certainly there is no cash for a newer car as your kids have somehow taken a fondness for food. And hte Big O says trade it in. Great. Trade it in on what? A car you can't make payments on as there is no money left to make payments. And all you have to say is " good advice". Real nice thought. Your post disappoints me.
  13. My youngest grandson is autistic. He is a wonderful little guy but like your nephew he is just not wired the way rest of us are. I wish you the best with your very worthy cause, and I made a small donation for the little guy. All the best to Wyatt and his Mama!
  14. Yes more laws certainly will stop crime. Oh wait, isn't it already illegal for a felon to have a gun? Maybe they should make it mor illegal. Certainly if private sales were restricted this criminal would have never gotten a gun, Yep no one would sell to him, other criminals who steal firearms then fence them would stop stealing and selling. And of course killing someone should be illegal too.
  15. I would think it would be awful easy for the shooter to say he got it at a gun show rather than rat out his source for the gun. ( assuming it was not a gun show) Makes no matter anyway.
  16. i dunno but you gotta be doing something wrong
  17. geez they ain't that hard to put back together. Go to Ruger's site and follow along with the video. You gotta be skipping steps
  18. I like to leave it laying and watch others scramble for it. Now if someone we are shooting with wants it I will gladly help pick it up for them. That's how I roll.
  19. I can't keep focus for that long. It is the most ridiculous set up and there is no reason to do it. It does not need to be that hard and there is NO benefit from doing it. I enjoy stripping a firearm as must as the next guy but the MkIII is the exception. Hold it one way, hold it another, drop the mag, hit it with a hammer, pull the trigger, reinsert mag, foegetaboutit LOL And I totally agree that the Mk's are the best autoloading .22 out there. Can't imagine one better than mine.
  20. I guess thereis a TN Black Panther. We got one that mostly lives under the bed and in the closet.
  21. that is a GREAT flick. Gregory Peck may well be the most underated actor ever. And thanks Mac, Waltzing Mathilda is not stuck in my head.

    New Stik

nice looking piece. But what if the optics ever fail? Do you have iron sights for it? Murphy has a way of showing up sometimes
  23. bet it was fun anyway.
  24. ai't nothing gonna come of this.. The Big O and his pals are untouchable. The Looters will not stand for anything that may well affect their free rides. If anything this deal will reach out and bite the wrong people.
  25. there is no real reason to strip the thing. Swab the bore and wipe what you can, it will run forever anyway.
