  1. everybody has a right to own a gun but it doesn't mean they all need to exercise that right.

    Hiking Pistola?

I appreciated the thought mds3d. As far as I know ( that being the key) I was the only armed adult at camp last weekend aside form the park rangers. I did find out by talking to him that another leader is a milsurp fan like I am. He claims to have never sold any gun he has acquired. I am thinking he has a sizeable firearm collection. I did not ask if he was armed nor did he ask it of me. We are hiking at House Mountain on Saturday, I will have a little something on me.
  3. civil war and states rights, not so sure. It was fought over slavery. What rights did the south lose when the CSA surrendered?
  4. I would say that this type of murder is fairly common. While it is a twisted way to show ones love domestic violence happens.
  5. I have read somewhere to use cork between the barrel and forestock, so I am guessing that the newspaper was a poor mans solution. Since it is out now I would shoot it and see what the results are, if they are poor maybe put it back. certainly nothing unsafe about it
  6. Not all the gay woman golf pro's I played with and worked with were Democrat's quite a few were seriously conservative in political viewpoints, just my golfing partner was way left of center.

    Hiking Pistola?

I have taken several layers of online scout training ( Youth Protection, This is Scouting, Denleader Fast Start , Cubmaster Fast Start) and have yet to see any mention of firearms. I watch the video's real close. Even if they said no I would carry anyway. The grandson's safety is way more important to me than me being a certified leader. But thanks for the tip anyway. I just won't buy the book I carried last weekend in a state park during our pack campout. Casually concealed. Someone must have seen it or people really aren't observant. i really like the idea of a .357 Mag for hiking for penetration of any attacker.
  8. when I was in the golf biz I got to know quite a few gay woman. They really were all very nice and a genuine pleasure to work with, really they were. One was my partner in couples tournaments for many years. We got along quite well as long as we did not discuss politics. LOL I am sure she is in love with the Big O. She told me one day " didn't you just think Bill Clinton was great?" I suggested we stick to golf, LOL

    Hiking Pistola?

I hike with the cub scouts and if in a legal place to do so I carry. I think either the .357 or .45 is appropriate.

  11. I want some of the little girl targets, where are they for sale?
  12. I can't cite the source but I read that there are more people working in gov't than there are workers in the USA actually producing goods. I want to say 60% gov't worker to 40% producer. ( not counting agricultural workers.) Something is wrong with that.
  13. the song was pretty much a top 40 staple hit and got tons of airplay when it came out.
  14. all I can say is that if anyone here gets paid by people purchasing goods from China then they better look for different work, cause I am not supporting that anymore.
  15. there are theories that someone or group of people has poisoned him in some manner.
  16. by "crap" i just meant products made there, not a reflection on the quality. My first goal in a purchase is made in USA stuff, I will consider other countries after there are no USA options. China, well not at all. I will do without. And back to Belleville boots, I read they are miltary quality or whatever. I work on a concrete floor. I wonder of military style boots are built for use on concrete or dirt/grass. It would definitly affect the durability of the soles.
  17. actually it looked like a bear sized poodle to me.
  18. I don't doubt for a second you saw a bear on Clinch Mountain. When I go out after dark I always hesitate just a second, I am not but about fifteen minutes from you. Saw a bear run across 441 right near the Knox county liner last year while travelling back from Norris with OS. If there was one there there could just as easily be one in my back yard or yours. Had a bull in my backyard a while back, that was interesting enoug, LOL
  19. I googled it and see no claim that they are made in the USA. Why buy them? Buy American! They are out there. I bought a pair of Thorogood boots a couple of months ago. Made in Wisconsin, I wear them every day for work and they show virtually no wear on the sole so far. The uppers are holding up real well. If they do not last two years I will be very surpised. Ain't buying any more Chinese crap. I will do without first.
  20. there were words to Dueling Banjo's?
  21. Ah c'mon. You know you want one. Sort of like your XD collection
  22. not in the bible, no, but there are historical records of you. I have seen a youtube vid of you performing your art. I am sure you have been mentioned in print more than once. Don't anyone get me wrong. I believe the bible is a wonderful book. Full of good teachings and it is a fine thing to use as a guide for living life. I have been comforted by verses from it. Nate sent me several a year ago that helped me through a rough time. Its all good. I have read it and even still refer to it on occassion. Glenn Beck is a lot like the bible in some ways. He can be a useful tool, he can cause a valid thought process to occur. And he can be long winded and hard to understand too. Once a week for him on TV would still get his message out.
  23. and that confirms what I suspected. I believe most actual historic events are supported by multiple sources, one not being a book of fiction.
  24. is there historic record of this?
  25. I would very much like to know what it is that makes you think he fell off the deep end. just askin'
