  1. when I find a gun that I like better than my current EDC I will change EDC's Other than that I enjoy firearms, I love to go and shoot different ones, and I want to be proficient with the ones I own. And I fully expect to own more of them before I punch my ticket out of here.
  2. did this actually happen? being a victim of a crime is not grounds to be denied a carry permit in TN.
  3. That's awesome, thanks for posting
  4. I thought Perot cost King Geo. I the election.
  5. I'd vote for Herman. Not that it matters anyway. The Big O will roll to a second term if the welfare class and stupid youngsters get out and vote.
  6. yep, lighten up Francis.
  7. radio shack?
  8. truth! Unless someone ( a new messiah) comes out of the woodwork to make a legitimate run at things the Big O will get a second term. If the freeloaders come out and vote again, no one stands a chance. I mean who is a welfare addict going to vote for? Someone who will enable them to keep their free ride or someone who might cut back? This place is in an unending spiral to going out of business. Huckabee is unelectable anyway, I don't see an evangelical geting the votes.
  9. if I was gonna do the Smokies I would go to Cosby, most likely to not be overcrowded. Campgrounds end up being like subdivisions on busy weekends. Hard to enjoy a camping experience when there are people everywhere. Wake up in the morning to take a leak in the bushes and there twenty feet from your tent is some family eating breakfast. Heck it is worse than a subdivision sometimes. There is a state park at the second Crossville exit. Can't recall the name but they have a shooting range, at least according to the sign on the interstate. Fishing too.
  10. dude oughta just picked up the phone.
  11. I could dole out some justice and I would be interested in a career change.
  12. yep blinding the guy with acid is too cruel. Just pop 'em out with a screwdriver and be done with it.
  13. I expected the place to be wall to wall patron's but it was the least attended gun show I have ever been to. Definitely a buyers market. Overall a pretty good show.
  14. Can't you join that Collectors association at the CMP store?
  15. You could also camp at Chuck Swan. There are no facilities at all but you can camp right next to the shooting range, and IIRC its all free. Just take some water and a shovel and you are good to go there.
  16. you are going to prison dude.......... Just make up some kind of note that dates the day you sold it. If something should come to pass you will have something to show. Anyway there is no law that says you need to do anything other than what you did. If I am selling I only ask if they are legal to buy a gun and ask to see their ID proving them as a TN resident. I always keep hard copies of receipts for guns bought, even FTF purchases I will write up something and put in my gun file, then when I sell I note it on that sheet of paper.
  17. the campground at Norris State Park is nothing special, but it does fill all the conditions you set. It is about 15 minutes from the range at the Norris watershed.
  18. diet pepsi like most every morning
  19. while I can't appraise your place other than to say it is great, I would be happy to sling some lead again,
  20. I suppose if you are not going to go and hand pick your own it mightbe better to get a service grade rifle. But the bigger concern to me would be how the chamber and muzzle measure out. You can find a great rack grade rifle in these regards. Mine is a rack grade HRA and while the wood has character and some of the parkarizing looks 60 years old I would not trade it for much of anything. Muzzle and throat are top notch. Mine was handpicked just not by me.
  21. I was sweating it when I pulled into you place last week, I surely was concerned you were gonna take my truck away you did not take my ammo either
  22. just tell them you own no guns, problem solved.
  23. that stuff is not whisky. Once the spirit is out of the barrel it no longer ages. Fill level might have been lower for any number of reasons. If the lid was not sealed well evaporation would be a prime suspect. Cutty is also a lower tiered scotch, the recipe may have changed since when yours was made.
  24. now that is two freaking extremes
  25. yep it is called advertising. Hmmm imgaine that, it works. TN wiskeys are basically swill, LOL. The charcoal filtering is a gimmick that gives it a funny taste. For brown liquor, bourbon is where it's at. And where it's at is Woodford Reserve. Though I prefer the sweeter lighter taste of canadian whiskeys.
