So the BTAC was released yesterday. Freaking people crack me up. None of it will hit the shelf. We got that little. 2 bottles of 23 year old, last year we got 6 or 9 of them. The other ages and labels were way smaller than last year. The boss has not messed with it yet and that alone is driving people crazy. There actually was one guy who threatened him for not putting it out for sale. That will get him a bottle, LOL Yeah NO. If the phone rang 100 times yesterday 75 of the calls were people trophy hunting. We have a list of requests that far exceeds availability. I answered one call and it was a lady, and she told me three times she is on our preferred list. I have worked there off and on for 13 years. I am unaware of any such list. My standard answer to these calls and trophy hunters is " I have none to sell" Which is not a lie as only our owner and GM are the only ones who can authorize the sale of it. I am glad I have no say over who gets what. Overall, I'd estimate we got 1/4 of what we had last year.

i don't believe it is in the market.

hahahaha Well played!

I have bought her flowers, many times over in 25+years. She is not a gunny, never has been and never will be. Makes awesome fried chicken and one hell of a meatloaf. :) And she is my best friend. I guess I should count my blessings.

My BIL had all his remaining teeth pulled and full dentures put in place. I dunno about cost but I know he is a happier guy now. For all the Big O had claimed about his health insurance it is a moral shame the dentistry was not part of it. I have insurance, it does not meet the minimum requirements of Zero's plan but was grandfathered in. None of it includes dental. Basically nature decided we should not live past forty years old (tooth wise). I am not sure why tooth health is not part of overall health (insurance wise.)

is it a good or bad idea to let a 14 year old visit her mom in jail?

googled my own answer -

would be interested in the story behind that pic ^^^ -
The Larceny is available every day of the week. The new lead slinger will be a better buy than most any bourbon will be. Can you give my wife lessons?

We have some Yellowstone, it is on the shelf, less than $110.

Word is Van Winkle is dropping tomorrow. Good luck in getting some. If I heard correctly we are getting a grand total of six bottles older than 12 year old. Last year we got about 10 cases of 15 year old and 8 cases older than that. I have no idea how much of the 10 and 12 year old we are getting. I am guessing a few cases of each. I am fairly sure none of it will be shelved. It will be a considerable trophy find this year.

if you like mixing bourbon you should give Benchmark a try. It is made by Buffalo Trace and should be priced around $17 for a 1.75. Many customers who have complained about price increases to Jim Beam have made the switch upon recommendation and found they like it a lot. (edited to clarify pricing)

We have enough babies in Walking Dead already. I think Maggie being preggars is a cheap ploy. Is Deanna the only person who doesn't know that you have to stab the head to kill a zombie? How about that lesbian kiss? Was that zombie blood leaking through the wall or the wall cracking?

Elijah Craig has some seriously aged and seriously expensive juice in the market now. Very limited quantities of course. (edited because I got my Craig and Four Roses mixed up.

Show Of Hands -- Who would prefer to use a Credit Card over PayPal?
Mike.357 replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I like what makes my life easier. I don't really care what David (still want to call you Tungsten :) ) changes the payment plan too as I am already a life member but paypal hooked up to a CC I have makes life a lot simpler sometimes. I pay what I pay and get the points for using the card. I'd vote ( given the option ) for whatever is best for the website financially. Paypal is easy to use, if given the choice of it on purchases I choose that option everytime. -
As for Corner Creek, I said it is good. There is your review. But then I don't go in for the trendy overpriced stuff. Moot point at the store now anyway. It is all gone. I sold the last 8 bottles today. We'll see next week if we can get another case. I hope so. I can sell it all day long when I point it out to our bourbon clients. At it's price point it is impossible to beat.

There is no gun registration in TN. Before this year it was illegal to carry a gun, on your person or in a vehicle. A HCP was only a defense to that act. Now it is not illegal to have a loaded pistol in your vehicle. It is illegal to have hydrocodone in your car. It is not illegal to have them provided you have a prescription for them. Do you tell the cops when you are carrying something like that in your ride? It used to be illegal to have a knife with a blade longer than 4 inches. Now it is not. Do you inform them if you are carrying a knife with a extra large blade in your car?

Who Dey!

exactly why tell anyone you have a gun? It is irrelevant to the stop. I am not going to pull it out, I have no plan to use it. All it can do is ramp up a situation. And just because I have a permit does not mean I am armed. Should I inform them I have a permit but I am not carrying as well? Anyone who is legally allowed to own a gun can have one in the car, if I was a cop I'd assume everyone does.

My daily carry "pistol", AKPDW V2.0
Mike.357 replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'd have told them NO. You have nothing better to do,so I have told them to bring a cop with a warrant. -
word has it we have another case of Corner Creek coming tomorrow. If you want one let me know, I can hold this back for you. That or come and get it. I am not kidding when I say this is some of the best bourbon on our shelf.

When the knife law changed in this backward ass state I ordered a AK74 auto knife from Blade HQ. It shipped and I got it in a few days. There is not a bad thing I can say about the company.

How does that effect whether you are carrying or not? There is no need to have a permit to carry in your car. In the olden days I'd agree with handing over a permit, but why now? Anyone not prohibited from owning can carry in their vehicle.
