This story makes my blood boil!
Mike.357 replied to Volphin's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If the man was scared for his life he should have shot the burglar. Warning shots show you are not afraid for your life. I suppose the same thing would happen here in TN if you discharged a gun inside city limits, but in the county not so much. -
it does not need to be a long drawn out process but any gun video involving stripping or cleaning a gun should start with showing it is not loaded. It is my first procedure. Found a round in a .22 once that I just knew was unloaded. I check religiously now.
-
And it is near unbelievable that a man and can't just gift a gun to his grandson. sounds pretty much un-American.
-
It would need to be transferred, though i doubt anything would ever come of it without doing so. Grandpa could just loan it to him "wink wink" 100% legal. And like BK said, he needs to be 18. Dad could loan it to you.

I would think something is wrong with the ammo. Try running rounds other than reloads, if you have no issues then it is the ammo.

Are you Registered To Vote?
Mike.357 replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not voting is in fact a vote. Just not cast in a polling place. I have in the past turned in an empty ballot when not happy with the voting options. That was my vote. But this time around the stakes are too high to not cast a ballot and vote against obama. -
something to do with the two yankees in the bar and that there is a reason Nebraska is called a flyover state.

Off-duty deputy pulls gun on pregnant woman and husband at Walmart check-out

so did I miss something? Is there another version of this story that backs up the prego and her assaulting hubby's side of the story? -
you must master the fear. I don't think nothing of smashing them things, I will tear a room apart to get one. Of course I will not hesitate to step on a mouse either if I get the chance.

Personally I will do ABO this time around. And I am kinda doing it as a favor. I really and truly do not believe there is any difference at all between Democrats and Republicans. Makes no difference who you vote for or if you even vote at all. And Reagan is over rated. -
yeah, that 922r thing cracks me up. I would not lose a moments sleep over that thing

I'd like to read the cops story. And then Id like to hear the truth of the incident. -
I started the oldest grandson out at five years old, I bought him a single shot youth sized rifle. I made him shoot sitting and put a bipod on it. At first I would hand him one bullet at a time. He took right to it, was very careful and accepted any coaching I gave him. In short order I would just sit the box of bullets down with him, he was always under control. I'd have a rifle too and we would take turns firing. He is nine now and a fine little rifleman. Another grandson turns five in a few weeks. And no way is he mature enough yet to start shooting. I am hoping by summer time he will grow up just a little. Every kid is different, they mature at their own rate. And I totally agree with Dolomite. Expose them at a young age, it takes the curiousity out of it. To this day if either of them want to see a gun I stop what I am doing and show it to them, show them that I make it safe, and let them handle it all they want. Even the little one is not fascinated with them anymore I took the mystery out of it for them. When other kids are around there are no guns where they can get to them, they are locked up or on my hip. We have BB guns and air soft for them to play with, they know the difference between toys and real firearms.

Young woman raped in Vanderbilt parking garage

Wow, really? Look up infringed in the dictionary. It's an eye opener. Wow -
Like BK says, its only racism if it is a white guy doing it. Freaking Barack Obama is not any blacker than he is white. And him being half white does not make him a pathetic president anymore than being half black does. He is pathetic because he is in over his head, has little to no practical experience at anything worthwhile and has never had to earn a living.

Glenn never had time to get off a shot. It was over in a hurry

There should be no mandatory training what so ever. Look up the definition to infringed

people wanted off the island, in restrospect they were in no danger. There was not a Wermacht ready to shoot them to their death.

Judges are the entire problem with 2A and Obama. I admit I am like Mikeg in regards to not having thought about things through their eyes. Thanks to OS for opening my vision. If the Big O get two more judges on line and a case comes up questioning the legitimacy of privately owning firearms we are way liable to be on the short end of that stick. And then what are we going to do? .

you need a lawyer, not a gun forum. best wishes for the child
