After a Dolomite trigger job and associated slickening my RIA is the nicest 1911 I ever shot. They can be great pistols.

beautiful weapon, Oleg knows what he is doing -
there is no such thing as a bar in TN There are places that sell hootch for consumption off premise and places that sell it for drinking on premise. None of them are legally bars. I am a current master.

I have played golf under lots of standards. Do-overs, gimme's, common sense rules. Never those scores. I have no problem with mulligans in a friendly game, gimme's were controlled by whoever tended the pin. I played with one guy regularly who never ever ever ever ever lost a ball. I did not care, it was on his conscience. I did notice that guys who had posted handicaps generally could not shoot within ten shots of it in a club championship tourney. That always made me question how they kept score every other time. I would take a mulligan or a gimme, it was an accepted part of our weekly game. But come club championship time I played them as they lay, and holed out on all 18 holes. Started that weeks before the tournament. It is a different mindset to play with the actual rules of golf. I wouls blow up a couple of strokes in a tourney but not ten or fifteen as I saw lots of guys do. I played in Florida with lots of guys on the tour, the players ability test tour that is. I dunno how many guys I worked with that wanted to pass the PGA playing test and get into the program. The dudes would play five or six days a week and play skin games. That is the worst you can do if you wanna post a score. Picking up your ball when you are lying three and someone is in the cup with a birdie does not help your game. At best one out of ten or fifteen would eventually pass the PAT. Lots of guys had played PAT's and failed ten times or more. Basically you had to shoot 155 or so for two rounds on the same day. Tougher courses had higher acceptable scores, but generally you needed a 77 and a 78 to pass and be in the PGA program. I have only worked with maybe two guys who had enough ability to go to Q school and try to gain entry into the PGA tour. That is out of more than a hundred guys. Golf is freaking hard, even more so from tips. I played with guys who could shoot 70 evry day of the week but got into tournaments and could hardly break 80. It can be a brutal game. Myself I sucked. I knew better than try to be a club pro, Made my dough in other ways.

where does one get tear gas from? ( not that I have intent to ever possess any) Military grade smoke is easily purchased, but I have never seen tear gas

Golf is about integrity and honesty, especially when no one is watching, The rules are the rules, no exceptions for level of play. I gave golf up after we moved to TN. It was my hobby for a long time, then working in the biz became my career. The hobby sort of lost something when that happened.

Shooting at Denver theater during new Batman movie.

guns are used in these types of crimes because it is the most readily available tool suited for the task. Ban guns, remove every gun from the face of the earth then some other tool will be the best available tool for killing. Banning guns is not going to stop or solve anything. -

I did read a story from MSNBC that stated the guns were all in his car when police arrested the shooter, with the exception of one pistol found in the theater. -

hardly too much for one guy to put together. I seriously doubt he was a poor, struggling financially college kid. In med school? Family surely had some money. Even if not, college kids have credit cards. Not hard at all to buy several thousand dollars worth of gear on visa or M/C. I am a poor SOB and have way more firepower than this guy had. Money is not an obsticle. -

I am sorry people were shot, but freedom has its costs. If fourteen people die because of us having a right to own firearms then so be it. -
looks like it was a great event. Wish I had weekends free sometimes

I dunno Les. I wanna smoke pot but it is illegal. I like to be law abiding. I can sit home and get falling down drunk, no one cares other than the old lady. and no one who matters cares what she thinks. Alcohol has basically been legal forever, ( aside from some dark years, and that did not slow it down much) it has killed billions, worse of a killer than Hitler most likely. Weed, not so much. We had meth back in the 70's, no one much messed with it unless pot or hash could not be had. I assume it was more refined along the lines of OS's explanation. I tried it several times. It never made me want more as weed was to be had in a short amount of time. Legalize the Bob and a lot of problems would be solved.

in 1961 undoubtedly Ronny Raygun spoke in favor of socialized meds. of all the free crap our gov't doles out health should be one of them.
-
heck if pot was legal there would be millions who would never try any drug after that. The stuff being illegal forces those that want to get high to try what is available. then you get problems
-
again this stuff makes me laugh. How do you prosecute the top lawman in the land? Especially when he has potus backing. Congress can rattle their saber all they want, nothing is coming of this.

we shoulda got the Hooters girls to sing happy birthday to you Hope old age treats you well. Happy Birfday

Beck Pretty upset about Supreme Court Ruling Worth a Look
Mike.357 replied to JG55's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
hahahahaha So the Supreme Court cannot be relied on to follow the constitution? What, your interpretation of the constitution? I dunno but I am pretty sure they decide what it all means. -
comical stuff. At this point I don't care anymore who gets elected, what judges decide or what the president says. And nothing in the prior sentence has anything to do with the supreme court decision. Roberts is crap, Obama is a liar, Romney is no better, the country is over. LMAO. The USA is not going anywhere. Nothing ever stays the same, change is the only constant. Vote the bums out, I hear that all the time. Well who are you going to vote in? By the time they get to run for congress or whatever office they have sold out already. Can't believe I read this whole thread and no one evoked Ronald Reagan.
