keep looking, I don't think it is that hard to find. $29.99 The Weller is priced a hair lower than we are. IIRC we were 32 on it. NIce find anyway. That stuff is becoming harder to get. And I don't know how true this is but I have heard rumblings about Buffalo Trace being allocated in the future. I dunno..... Sounds like the demand is more than they expected to need if this plays out. Bourbon demand has come on strong very quickly for a industry that needs 8 years or more to project with their products.

Yes. that exactly. For me it was always a coin toss between Pampero or Appleton 12. Ideally I kept a bottle of each in the bar. When they got low I'd replace them, easy peasy. Not so much anymore. The 12 year Appleton is around all the time for the most part. The one in the leather bag has become a holy grail every bit as much as Appleton 21.

pappy 12 $ 78 or there abouts Weller 12 $38 IIRC Elmer T Lee, $33

this won't end well. Freedom will be the big loser.

Anyone have a door barricade on their front door?
Mike.357 replied to Randall53's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I don't have one but I have seen in older homes in Cincinnati a Steel rod that had a plate in the flooring to hold the bottom and a plate in the door to hold the other end. I doubt you can break through them. A simpler solution would be a 2x4 that slips into brackets on the frame (assuming your door opens in) If it opens out then add brackets to the door itself. If the burglar is determined the best you can do is hope to slow them down. -
now we are on to endless ammo supplies. if not for my grandson who is easily fooled by the crap in this show that is unbelievable I'd have given up on this show before now. At best next half of a season it will get watched other than Sunday night. Doesn't GoT start up around then? At any rate I can disconnect from possible or plausible over Zombies. But the the other stuff such as gasoline, ammo, fully auto AK's, 6 shot Ruger's, not running over bikers, I just can't get past. The production value of this show is for crap. So Zombies skulls are especially soft but their fingers can tear through flesh and back muscles like it is paper mache? I just can't buy in anymore. Not to mention Ace marksmenship with handguns. Hell they are all expert shots when first holding a gun. Deanna was picking them off and we know darn well she would have been a libtard gun grabber who has never shot before. But a hardened girl, ten feet from a bad guy doesn't feel she can take a head shot and hit her target? They can hit zombies on the run but not a stationary target? I feel the next half of the season is going to be rehashed times with the Governor and Woodbury. Sorry got long winded there, LOL (corrected some auto correct stuff)

I have only watched this show briefly, but I could have swore I saw a radio on a shelf during the first few minutes of the show last night. Dunno what else it could have been, Looked like a radio out of the 60's or early 70's very similar to one that was in our house. I am not really a fan of this type of show anyway, but i find not having guns as unbelievable, especially after seeing a mechanized vehicle and that radio,
-
that might could be plausible except for a panel on story sync identified it as a five shot SP101.357 I swear whoever is in charge of these kinds of things on this show is incompetent. And not only did she have a magic gun she also left herself alive and someone will probably end up getting bit by her.

He should have been tied to a tree long ago.

where did Deana get a 6 shot SP101? And episodes like this are what makes me glad they split the season in two. I am pretty sure if it was on again next week I would not turn it on.

I know a few people who have cut the cord to their TV. Not one of them ever mentioned political viewpoints as a reason to do so. It is about money to keep the service. It is prohibitively expensive for a lot of people, I am pretty much there too. The next time I see an increase from Comcast I will be calling to cancel my level of service to try to keep the bill affordable.

I work with a guy who earns his living buying lumber rights on tracts of land. I am not so sure you can get anyone to log 20 or 30 acres. And the dollar amounts I have read here seem like fallacy. Granted my knowledge is from listening to him talk about his job and about cruising woods all day long to bid on lumber rights and the dollar amounts he mentions. I am not so sure lumber companies who cut trees use chainsaws much. It is highly automated with equipment that can cut, strip and make short work of a tree. They probably aren't interest in small tracts. LJ knows what he is talking about.

I see texting drivers daily on my commute. Always young people.
-
sort of off topic but what bothers me most is the drunk drivers I see on 640, usually at least once a week. Well I assume they are impaired. Swerving back and forth hitting the lines on either side of their vehicle. And it is almost always at the Broadway on ramp on my way home from work around 10:30 at night. There is some large country music bar close to that ramp. I have seen two this week so far. If they are not lit up they are the worlds worst drivers. Just last night there was a newish Camaro entering the expressway there. I am in the middle lane doing 62 mph on cruise control. He gets right off my right rear bumper in the right lane. Weaving back and forth, almost hit me once. Why would anyone ride right off someones corner? I sped way up and got in the right lane as I take the next exit to come home. He was swerving back and forth, then finally pulled all the way over left and went flying by me, he must have been doing 80, could still see him weaving. I suspect that at that time of night two out of ten drivers are drunk, especially at that ramp. ok, rant off
-
I dunno if I could shoot him if he did not threaten me. I agree with having the pistol handy in case he did point it my way. The whole thing is awful. Sounds like he had more issues than being allowed to smoke.

I like to ride the middle lane of a three lane expressway. I normally run 5 to 7 miles over the posted speed limit in them. I suppose if I was going to popped for that it would have already happened. I see them running radar on 640 almost daily and I don't hit the brakes. Drives me nuts when someone is going slower than me in the far left lane. That and the slow running bubble of cars if there is a cop driving. People act terrified to pass them.

i see you point Caster. Yours too Spots. Gordon's post reminded me some points that make total sense. I guess I am lucky in a way that none of my family forces me to make a decision about guns. I disagree with some on other things, but If I have to be around them I can deal with what they want if I have to. Ha, I bet I am about the first person on this board to have their mind changed by points made by a few others! You sure don't see that much around here.

so If you had been there would it have made a difference? It is not like he was shooting anyone else. He shot someone who made him feel fucked over. So a guy shoots someone, are you gonna pull your piece and shoot a guy who blew a person away even though he threatened no one else? there are always going to be nutbags.

I killed a mouse last spring. Had some tubs stored in the car port. Went to check them as I pulled them out of the yard trailer they were in. Big fat mama mouse in one. Shot her. Now I have about 38 of them. dunno what I'd do with 200 rounds of it.. I ain't buying more. I'd trade them for some 36 grain stuff.

"I got family that ain't blood and blood that ain't family." That is your line. Most people assume family includes blood relatives. How you treat them is your choice. all I am saying is life is not all about a gun. If it is I don't want any part of that. Family is family, guns have nothing to do with it. I would never deny family. I can decide who i want to back up regardless.

what do you do with shotshell .22's? I have about 40 rounds of it. Dunno what to do with it.
