I got about ten sentences in and all I could wonder is why in hells half acre do you not own a golf cart? I may or may not come back and add to this post after I finish reading yours. so did something happen or not? Golf carts make great get away vehicles, and fishing boats. You could use it to fish out of, fetch mail, keep a rifle in. Well I don't fish out of mine but I do the others with it. No body F's with me when I fetch the mail.
Mav, hate to say it but Americans were stupid enough to elect him once I have no doubts they will do it again. Hell, we're the country that finds entertainment in watching Jersey Shore...
what is wrong with watching Jersey Shore? I love that show. And I am an old fart. I love seeing kids out and living life, doing stupid crap I wish I still has the energy to do. -
TGO Prez Poll Results & Last Predictions
Exit polling, Mac. exit polling and votes cast should be know to the Secy. of State of Ohio.
votes cast is not top secret or at least it used to not be. In days gone by when I was younger and very politically active I worked for several election campaigns. One task I always worked to be assigned to was to go from poll to poll and find out how many had voted at selected precints. There was almost always some pushback the first time in the door when I asked how many ballots had been issued. But by law they had to tell me. By doing this the people in charge could better decide where to put their "get out the vote" efforts. -

Romney stands no chance. I don't recall ever voting for a presidential winner. I doubt this year will be different. And I still wish I could have a do-over so I could vote for someone else guarenteed to lose. -

advice to husband on selling a few guns?
Mike.357 replied to robert45's topic in Women's Perspectives
only thing I will add is that if you plan on having someone fill out a bill of sale you make sure they know up front. Could be a dealbreaker for me and lots of others. I suggest putting it in your add if you so choose to do it. Welcome to TGO and good luck in selling your guns! -
Could the GOP pick up another Senate seat?

maybe he paid based on worth? And it bothers me not in the least that someone visits a prostitute. It is just another law that inhibits personal freedoms. There is no victim. -
you have a better chance of being the MVP in the Super Bowl than you will ever have of being accused of a crime based on having handled a gun at a gunshow.

No offense taken Chip. My scenario was more based on "you are now charged with murder". If it is self defense I did not think I would need a criminal attorney. Until the civil part of the deal happens. It is nice of you to set up a seminar on this topic. I wish I was close enough to attend.
-
Read your local papers and pay attention to who the prominent defense attorneys in criminal cases are. That is the guy you are gonna want. And be prepared to pay up front. Initial consults might be free but they won't ply their trade on the cuff. I am not sure how to venture a guess on the initial outlay of cash. Certainly it will depend on the circumstances.

I gave up on it. The episode where Gemma smokes a joint then some time later is soooooo stoned she can't drive and has the wreck with the grandsons in the car. Aside from being totally predictable it was finally way over the top in realism. Smoking a joint does not result in incoherent vehicle operation, especially not an hour or two later. It was ridiculous and unbelievable. As is a lot of the show. It was the final straw for me. The show is more unbelievable than Walking Dead.

they are called engravings. I did printing on letterpresses with this stuff in a career gone by. I can imagine they were used for printing ammo boxes.

I have a little less than 3.5 acres. I shoot in a little hollow out in front of the house in the woods. I built a decent size dirt, mound to set up plinking targets and also to catch bullets. I put it at the base of the rise behind it. The dirt pile is probably 4 feet tall itself, the rise behind it probably increases about fifty feet or more. Lots and lots of trees to catch potential ricochets and splatter. It is probably 75 yards to the closest house. Probably 40 yards to my house. It sits at the edge of my land but I am lucky there is four more acres of woods next to it. As for bothering anyone, no one has come to me to complain about any shooting that has been done. I don't have a regular schedule for shooting or anything. Anymore we pretty much just shoot .22's out there but I have shot every gun I own more than a few times there as well. It is not illegal for me to shoot all I want, i just try to be considerate about the times I shoot. Not too early or too late in the day. Most important is that I am doing nothing illegal.in Knox County. For you it might be good to check with the local sheriff or police as to how they will react if called about shooting. I made that call before investing the time to build a range. I was told that as long as I had a safe place and not shooting toward buildings or where people gather that I was good to go.

I called them a couple of weeks ago to complain about my rate. They ended up giving me all the movie channels, NFL Redzone, and a Hi Def DVR as well as cutting my bill by about 30 bucks. The squeaky wheel gets the greasin'

Firearms confiscation. How would it go down?

Ah heck, the Punisher probably thinks prohibition is imminent if the Big O is re-upped. I have kept my clothes on since my last bout with tequila back in 84 -

Did you fudge things or can anyone in Fla vote absentee for whatever reason? After being in Florida for 5 years, while tailgating after a NASCAR race at Homestead a local came upon our tailgate. He saw the State of Florida flag I was flying off my truck and asked if I was native to Florida. I laughed and admitted I was a transplant. He asked me for a beer and I gave him one. he went on to tell me how his people had been in Florida for well over 150 years. He then took the beer and shook it a little spraying some of it in the air. Said he absolved me of all the sins of the Yankees and made me a naturalized Floridian. I swear some people near us had been listening and started clapping, LMAO, While this has nothing to do with this thread, I ask, have you been Naturalized?

was your vote counted in Fla or TN? What was your excuse to vote absentee?

you stole my line. And I really want a do over. Voting was an act of futility.

Wow, glad you all making the best of it and no one was hurt. What a statement for the gun community that you had customers saving inventory for you! I am not so sure I can imagine that happening in other retail stores. Big thumbs up for your customers.
