Man shot when ammo fell out of box
Mike.357 replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't believe this for one second. A ,22 not in a gun is not going to propel itself into someone's leg. This dufus somehow shot himself and it had nothing to do with loose ammo hitting the floor. -
Things just aren't like they used to be ......

i see the youngest grandson use sticks as guns. He does it all the time. He has toy guns, a nerf gun and airsoft gun but he prefers sticks as guns. Makes me laugh. Not sure how I can ban sticks seeing as we live in the woods. You can't teach this stuff, kids do it on their own. -
NBC David Gregory Violates Federal Gun Laws Live On TV
Mike.357 replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
really following this story. I am sure NBC and Gregory will beat the rap and I am interested to see how it plays out. I am about positive if LaPierre had pulled a standard capacity mag out of his pocket he would have been arrested on air. -
Awesome David, thank you. See you Sunday

Los Angeles to offer groceries for guns???
Mike.357 replied to GoneBallistic's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I really do not understand why this stuff is so upsetting to people. Gun owners or possessors willingly turn them in. I like guns and enjoy owning, shooting, and handling them as much as anyone. But a gun buy back does not affect me or any of you at all. It is not illegal, immoral or forced upon anyone. And every time something like this is announced people post up that " we oughta go stand on the street and offer cash" Yet no one here has ever done it that I am aware of. heck people, worry about crap that matters -

A couple of weeks ago we got a call from Cameron's school saying he had hurt his arm in the gym. Not knowing the extent of the injury I went to his elementary school to see for myself if he needed further attention. He was fine btw. But what I did notice is I walked right into the school office, the only people visible was a nice older lady and a Knox deputy who had his face buried in a laptop. If I had been up to no good he would not have stopped me. From there you go through an unlocked door right into the heart of the school. And moments after speaking to the lady about the boy and waiting for him to come to the office the cop left the place and drove off. Did not seem very secure to me. Seems the cop should be outside seeing what goes on where he may be able to head off trouble. And I should not have been able to walk right in. I believe armed guards are an answer, but not one who is only there part time and not paying attention anyway.

I thought it was already determined that the long gun in the car was a shotgun. The local ME has said the shooter used .223 to do his bit.

if someone could actually get one million gun owners to stand on the mall, armed or unarmed, congress would truly take notice. Can you imagine a million armed people in DC? What would the cops do? It would be very interesting.

What Is Your Family Christmas Tradition, Quirky or Not
Mike.357 replied to runco's topic in General Chat
Fights must be popular for Christmas. Lots and lots of customers used dealing with family as why they were buying wine and spirits. I pretty much think it is all in good humor and most people were only kidding. My only lasting tradition is I enjoy getting up very early, well before the grandkids ( kids back in the day) or anyone else and enjoying the peace of it all. I stand outside and ingest caffeine and nicotine. I enjoy the silence, road noise is at it's most minimum, and the slightest breeze drowns it out totally. The world seems calm and perfect for those few minutes. While not religious at all those few moments early in the pre dawn hours give me hope for humanity. Merry Christmas everyone. -
It is a game, I assume most would get frustrated and just buy it then and there. reminds me of an electronics store that I knew of years back. They had a guarantee that they would beat anyone's price on like items. Seems all of their electronics and appliances has model numbers exclusive to their store. No other store could possibly have like items. It was a racket.
