  1.   my post was a reference to George Gipp and Knute Rockne.   Bad calls are not the issue now.   As an aside, the game and its importance has kind of taken a backseat.  Karin was robbed at gunpoint tonight about an hour ago. I just got back from going to the store.   Football is fine entertainment and all but I did not think of the game one time for the last hour.   And while ND may well get drummed tonight, at least I have my wife and the knowledge that I will never jump ship and root for some team other than my own.  Unlike every UT fan I encountered while at work today.
  2. why don't they ban the use of their cards for gun or gun accessory purchases?   Seriously why does anyone do business there?
  3.   thanks Mac,  I am not giving up hope but it appears the breaks may be beating the boys tonight.   Go Irish!
  4. lots of buildup here for what seems the same old same old story.   Interesting in the video it shows people going downrange and the sound of gunfire still going on.  I am guessing the average person will think people do that while the range is hot.
  5.   I dunno about the water there but I am not so sure this stuff is totally random.
  6. Turning away from whose God? Which god is the right one to choose for this task?
  7. if Feinstein had any balls this is what she would be proposing.
  8.   I see what you did here
  9. I agree with you Doc.   Randy's/ Crossroads is about ten minutes from my house.  I have not set foot in it for 5 or 6 years.     I will give them another chance.  If they have a valid business model and can find something to sell they could do well.   If they are gonna be same old same old and can find some stock they will not succeed.
  10.     Oh man, what does it matter.   About the only real difference between Romney and any of Feinstein's hubbies are they are all Jewish and don't wear funny underwear.   And money is always the bottom line.
  11. go screw your wife, that's an order
  12. I have not bought .22 mags in a while but they were near what 9mm costs.   I have no recommendation for the OP.   My experience with 22WMR is with a Ruger SAS.  I have shot someone else's rifle a few times, fun to shoot but.... I don't think it is a worthwhile round.  Just for target shooting or plinking a .22 LR scratches the same itch at a lot less cost.   Seems it may serve only a very specific purpose.
  13. Thanks Petra, you know me too well.   Happy New Year!!
  14. I'll take Baby Spice ftw
  15. meh, prolly be more of the same.  Old age has hardened me.   Happy New Year!
  16. David is the man, I'd tell stories but I know he wouldn't like it.
  17. all things being equal getting the Marlin seems like a no brainer.     AK's and variants are stupid priced right now, only a moron would buy in such a sellers market.
  18. if I was the old witch I would simply present a bill outlawing any and all firearms.   Make the that starting point.  Yep turn them all in, no money no nothing, just turn them in or face the consequences.   she is a gutless whore.
  19. not too much to be excited about today at the show.    I did not see any bulk ammo that I can recall.   People with their "assault" rifles for sale with laughable price tags.  I am not sure who I find at fault here, the sellers or buyers.  Though I did not see anyone sell any gun today.  Usually I see deals being made or at least people filling out 4473's.  I am guessing someone was selling but I never saw it.  There was no shortage of pmags that you all seems to like,  the only downside was the 30 dollar and up price tag.   Fairly uneventful day.     I'd have liked to seen a used Model 60 but had no luck.   And thanks again David.
  20. this is not going to end well most likely.
  21.   marching on Bardstown would be a better choice than Frankfurt
  22. I'll be popping by even if you are three deep!  LOL   Coming after noon
  23.   Actually I always kept it because of the picture on the back, seems some people did a pretty good thing some 230 odd years ago. It is supposed to be in my wallet for good luck.  I am scared to think how my luck would be if I did not have it there ;) When I was robbed at gunpoint 8 years ago they took the other cash I had but did not take the 2 dollar bill, dumb asses probably thought it was phoney.
  24. sell your stuff for what you can get for it.  Bothers me not in the least, though I do think gun owners are our own worst enemy in this deal.   And I won't be participating in the craziness.   AR's are not worth one penny more now than they were a year ago, they just cost more.
