just watched it,  mostly a ho-hum kind of story.    Certainly to any of us who have been down this road it was not really much of anything.   It did not portray it as particularly easy, it showed the newsgirl shooting, in class, and at the DMV applying for her permit.

my guess is that any expense associated with any presidential travel or first family travel is budgeted and approved.  I don't think the guy has the keys to the vault though it seems like it at times.  As for Mrs Presidents dress I am equally as sure that any number of clothing designers would be happy to give her something to wear on TV.   And Raoul, lighten up or relax Francis, LOL  Whichever one applies best.   Nicky being a member in the real prick club is a lifetime membership, paid through the school of hard knocks. well Robert since my Ford/Chevy reference roared right over your head I will try to explain further.   Politicians, not guns are like Fords and Chevy's.    There is little substantive difference between Ford's and Chevy's,  And there is little difference between Dem's and Republican's.

first off someone needs to explain to me the difference between republicans and democrats.  Near as I can tell they are about as different as a Chevy and a Ford.   GOP members are no more turncoats than Dem's.   Believing there is actually a difference is the first farce people need to get past.   I am not registering much of anything.  Problem solved.

Anyone else going to watch it?   I never miss it, even had a party one year for it when I forgot it fell on my wedding anniversary date, LOL.   The warden is a trooper and did not flinch or smack me for it.  Even made a bunch of food to help out.   I would like to see Danica win but I don't particularly root for her.  I am picking Smoke to win but my heart will be riding around in Mark Martin's car.  If he wins I would probably start bawling.   I always get sort of homesick for Florida for this race.  If we still lived down there I would have been at the track this week for Thursday, Friday and Saturday's races,  We mostly never stuck around for the 500 except for '98 when Dale won it,   hoping for a safe race and MM in victory lane at the end.

personally I am careful about screwing with war relics.  I have had several Mosin's.  The worst looking of the lot is my current one and I would never change much of anything on it.  I did use steel wool on the stock and used some Arrow Wood Finish on it.  I just basically knocked the burrs off of the piece of railroad tie the stock was fashioned from and sealed the wood. Still looks rough as a cob.  I don't think the mag well cover matches the other numbers.  So basically it is a POS Russian rifle.   But it is a war relic and I ain't messing with it.  Hopefully it killed some Nazi's and Russian's both.  (Godless rats they both are)

so did you ever make your move?   Nothing wrong with the service grade H and R for 625.   My guess is it has a good barrel and muzzle.  Probably never saw battle action.  IIRC they were from shortly after Korea.  Might have a WW2 stock, you never know.
