  1. It takes me all night to do what I used to do all night.
  2. I love my little Sig p238, I can throw it in a pocket holster in my front pocket and forget its actually there. I'm trying to stay away from the p938 because I know that if I get to hold one in Rosewood grips, it will go home with me. Then I would have to eat Tuna and MREs for a month.

    Adam Ant

When I hear the name Adam Ant, the only thing that pops in my mind is the song "Strip". It's kind of weird to think this video is 30 years old now.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z7fV-wB2z8
  4. The gen 4 is what finally turned me onto Glock. 2mm difference in grip works for me. I in no way intend to steal or steer this thread in a different direction, but if you read the book "Glock: Rise Of America's Gun" eye opener. I admire what he accomplished, but he was not a good person. Maybe wealth and success got to him. I can't say as I've never had either one .For what they are, I think current pricing is good. Not stupid expensive, but priced low enough that they are easily in reach to everyone.
  5. This Travon crap is getting very stupid. He was a thug and just happened to get killed. Game over. The rest of the world needs to get over it.
  6. My current job. Aircraft mechanic. If you fly out of Nashville on United or Delta and there is a problem with the aircraft. I'm the guy that most likely shows up. Only mechanic on duty and I have freedom and variety. The airplane is mine from avionics to a broken passenger seat, its all mine. My company is wonderful as I show up and thats pretty much it. No one looking over my shoulder or wondering where I'm at. If needed, they know I'm a radio call away. I love the freedom and trust they have in me, plus I just walk around the airport enjoying the "view" that is always present. If I ever have to get a real job again. I'm screwed. The downside is, if I screw up, people die and I go to jail.
  7. No requirement to protect, but at the same time, you cannot carry a firearm and protect yourself.  Stupidity. I do not promote breaking the law, but I will and do carry. I don't care what the sign says. If I am wrong, then we can work it out in court. Point is, I will still be here to appear in court over the issue.
  8. When I seen the thread title, I thought you had met my ex.
  9. The "Dirty Hairy" comment is awesome
  10. I will file this in the "Things I just don't want to know about" folder. :yuck:
  11. I have two SHTF rifles. First being a Ruger 10/22 and next is the WASR 10. I might just be lucky, but I have never had a single problem out of my WASR. I don't understand why they get such a negative reputation. Again, I might have just gotten lucky with mine, but it would be the last rifle I ever part with intentionally. I'm itching for a good AK74 to add to the mix.:)
  12. My house usually smells like a** and popcorn shrimp.
  13. All this talk is making me hungry  :yum:
  14. He played a few parts on Mork & Mindy with Robin Williams back in the 80's. Talented man and another one of the good ones gone.
  15. I did not watch the video as I'm sure it would just piss me off, but if a seller did ask for ID and then refuse to sell, they would just go to the next guy and try to buy something. You know, like a criminal would do if guns were just outright illegal to have.  Maybe they should try to buy crack and show how easy it is to get, but hey, that is already illegal. Nothing to see there.
  16. I have read and seen youtube videos that Doritos burn quite well. I have never tried it because I usually have Velveeta and Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies in the house, I darn sure want be trying to set Doritos on fire in that situation. On top of that, it would serve a dual purpose as a snack. You would have to rotate your supply often due to the "Best to use by" date, but then again thats where the Velvetta and Rotel come back into play. Its a vicious circle.
  17. Well said and totally agree. I'm fed up with people telling others how to conduct their life. Celebrities, politicians, that idiot Bloomberg. If I choose to keep firearms and drink large amounts of soda, thats my choice. If I'm not directly harming someone, LEAVE ME ALONE. I have many guns, and guess what! Not a single one of them went out and hurt anyone today. Not even a common robbery. It is amazing.
  18. I live in Lavergne and have comcast. I'm watching a show and the channel suddenly goes to C-Span with Sarah Palin making a speech. I can not turn channels, I've turned off both the TV and my cable box and I still cant change channels or see what I want to see. Anyone else having this problem?

  20. Propaganda about America for the North Koreans .What crap are we being fed by our media and government that is no where near the truth?
  21. 1992-1993, I was a parachute rigger at the airborne school at Ft. Benning, GA. Echo Co. 1/507th. Me and the 1SG absolutely hated each other. I had my reasons, he had his.  I was able to get a state side swap on my time, my dime and I ended up at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA.  I loaded up my VW and hit the road.  Life was looking good. (So I thought).  After the standard few days at Ft. Stewart inprocessing, I ended up at Hunter Army Airfield to my new unit. Oh, I got the FNG treatment that weekend and people are feeling me out and testing me as standard procedure requires with any outsiders.   I report to the rigger shed the next duty day and the Chief Warrant Officer wanted me in his office. (Standard, welcome to the platoon and all that) So I thought, "Sit right here", CID is on their way from Ft. Stewart to get you. Oh SH*T!  There was an intentional malfunction with a parachute a few days after I left Ft. Benning and since my friendship with the 1SG was well known, everyone interviewed just knew I was the guy that did it. So here I am at a new duty station, I don't know anyone, everyone is told to stay away from me because of the attempted murder investigation. Good times.   Polygraph test, handwriting analysis, questioning after questioning.  I did not sleep much, lost weight and my stress meter was pegged for quite a while. They got the guy that did it a few months later, but even after I was cleared of any wrong doing, I was always, "That guy". I spent 2 years there and just recently went back to Savannah for a few days after leaving in Aug 1995. Things have changed down there, but I did not visit Hunter Airfield. I'm still pissed off about that and it was 18 years ago.
  22. I share your pain, but this is my perception on it. Do you really need it? Probably not. Does it make you happy? Absolutely! Thats the important thing. Something you love, and occupies your time. Yeah, I don't don't want to discuss the money part, because I have spent more than I care to know on firearms, but in the end, its my hobby and it makes me happy to have things to mess with. My latest project is a Saiga 12 sporter, I know it will cost me to do what I want with it, but its my new "toy" and we all need toys no matter what your age is.
  23. Pure respect for those guys and what they do. I honestly don't think I could do it. Too many emotions involved for me.
  24. Warning, strong language.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H754QCft8SY
  25. I never liked Glocks at all until the Gen 4. I'm a small person and have small hands and Glock just never fit me. I don't know the exact difference in the grips, but the Gen 4 26 without using a back strap works well for me and that is what sold me on going to a Glock. Its seems crazy what a difference a few millimeters can make. Congratulations on your new 19.
