  1. Thanks for posting that!
  2. If I can't make this one, I'll sure try in the future!
  3. Paul tells me that you all will be on the Natchez Trace for a bit. A few years ago, I was bored on New Years Eve day, and so I fired the Ducati up and shot a video of the northern end, headed south. It's a bit of a different video, in that I messed with the colors, and purposely rode into the sun, and so on. I started at about 45 and slowly got to about 80 as the grove came on. Part way through you'll hear that great Ducati 90-degree v-twin sound. Also, you can see me dodging a few slick ice spots, since it was late December. You all have fun. Here's the video: Click Here
  4. Six inches from TYING the Superbowl. A very common misconception.
  5. I can't help but LMAO at some of these.

    22lr Handgun

I'm partial to my Buckmark. It's so much fun to shoot, and also cheap. I've found that one of the best benefits, though, is using it to introduce people to shooting since it doesn't scare anyone off. Here are two sets of 10 rounds at 25 yards:
  7. It may be too far, but the Fiery Gizzard Sportsman's Club in Tracy City would be ideal for that.
  8. Mine just arrived via FedEx. For those of you getting ready to install it, there are some significant software packages that are NOT yet compatible with it.
  9. Okay, so you have your hand on the restaurant door you've been looking forward to for lunch, getting ready to enter, when out of the corner of your eye you see a recent inspection report that grades the operation's cleanliness on a scale of... 1-100 points. What score would be low enough to make you turn around and find some other place to eat? For me, it would probably be something in the mid-80s unless I'd eaten there before and knew the place. If it was an Awful House I had an itching for, I'd lower my standards another 10 points.
  10. What specifically do you have in mind, other than reporting it stolen? That kind of thing can happen with most anything, like a vehicle, for instance. I just wondered if there was something I was missing or not.
  11. There are many very nice places in Davidson County.
  12. That's the equivalent of a kitty tinfoil hat?
  13. What's the reasoning behind that? I see it all the time in close-up pictures. I know there must be a reason, but I've never really understood the point.
  14. I really love me. Did a full day for the Advanced Concealed Carry class with it. What really amazed me the first time I shot it is how little recoil there is for a small gun. AND, I like how easily you can strip it.

    Who has a P238?

Not if he's not carrying it.

    Who has a P238?

I have one, but I haven't had a chance to shoot it or take pix. Stay tuned.
  17. I would try an area east of I-65, (fair bit) south of Harding, (fair bit) west of Nolensville, and north of Old Hickory Blvd.

    Come on baby,

Good luck with your choice. I have a Savage 12 LRPV Dual Port in 26", .204 Ruger, and I sure do enjoy it.
  19. I watched the whole thing. I'm not where he is in terms of belief, but I thought it was hilarious. He reminded me of E. V. (Edward Victor) Hill.
  20. NRA Condition Standards for rating firearms
  21. Yes, I know what the technical charges were, and how the permit was expired and didn't apply in either NY or NJ. But was struck me thinking about this story is in a practical sense he was sentenced to two years in jail (and the loss of ca. $10 million dollars) not for violating the law but for unsafe gun handling. Know what I mean? That's pretty sobering.
  22. I've used them for some FFL transfers, and they've been very nice and accommodating.
  23. I don't quite get what they are saying. Is it just THEIR version of .17 that's unsafe in a semi-auto? I don't have any of their ammo, but I have a bunch of Hornady stuff.
  24. That was pulled off perfectly.
  25. David, I do hope you bargained, demanded to know their cost, and made sure they didn't make more than $10, those greedy little bastards.
