  1. The army surplus store in Monteagle (exit #135, off I-24) has the best condition and cheapest price on ammo cans.
  2. Did you read the material the OP linked to?
  3. Nice doing business with you!
  4. Thanks for those pictures, especially next to the Rohr. That is indeed smaller than I was expecting. Mine should be here in a week or two. Do you find that the "edges" make it a little difficult to get it in/out of your pocket? That's one thing I like about the Rohr.
  5. Ca. $1,100.
  6. Two boxes from the gun shop, since I bought a .380. I guess they have a very limited supply and are making it available only to purchasers. Three boxes that I traded straight out to someone for .45 ACP, both target. And 15 minutes ago, found three boxes of 100 ct WWB at Wal-Mart! I was shocked to death.
  7. Thanks! I did find Meco in a search last night, and the fellow I spoke with was very nice.
  8. My reasoning is the kick in a gun that weighs so little.
  9. No, but you're on the right path. Think harder to find than that and in the 12 oz range.
  10. Time for a sanity check and quiz to see how bright you all are. I'm obviously not that bright at all when you look at the stats. So today I bought a (new) handgun: /Ridiculously high price. /No manual safety. /No slide lock--after firing the last round, the slide returns to battery. /No magazine disconnect: gun will fire without magazine in the well. /DAO. /Two calibers are available: both share the exact same dimensions. So, what lame gun was this?
  11. Hey, thanks for posting that! I'm going to read both references, start to finish. I really want to understand this.
  12. I'd go for it. Only I'd lace them with some sort of diarrhea causing agent that makes everyone go at once. Set up some portable johns in the parking lot and charge people to use them. You gotta think like an entrepreneur, man!
  13. Champion doesn't have a showroom, but you can pick up orders there, or ask someone at the pick up window to show you something. They also have a catalog and website.
  14. Welcome! I just got back from Oxford, where I enjoyed a day of fun shooting--only with a camera. Recognize this? And our oldest son spent time at Oxford as an exchange student. When you get to the area and need a shooting outlet, let me know and I'll take you shooting while you wait for your permit stuff.

I just tape a picture of my mother-in-law to my chest. It has the ability to repel ANYthing.
  16. I paid $1,199, but swung a deal on some other stuff at the same time.
  17. You have it in the 9mm version too?
  18. I was sorting some ammo over the weekend, and realized I had all this .45 and only one handgun that shoots it. I thought about it a bit, and decided I'd see if I could consolidate ammo calibers, which took me to the gun shop to see what it would cost me to exchange my Kimber Ultra Carry II for a Springfield EMP 9mm. They made me a good deal, and so I did it. Here's the new baby, including a picture next to an XD(m) 9mm for size comparison.
  19. Man, I'm just going to smile and refrain from commenting further.
  20. Has there been any discussion internally about whether or not the restaurant you work for will post to disallow guns? I'm just curious about how the management thinks about such things.
  21. Thanks! Recovery is slow, and I learned the hard way that I'm not ready for any rifle because of the sideways neck position, even though the doc cleared me for it. So for now, low recoil pistols only. I wish you well in the surgery.
  22. You can defend yourself in other ways besides a gun on school property.
  23. Great idea, and certainly no offense taken. I'm fairly certain the problem is me. I've got a good friend with a lot of experience who can do just that for me.
