Even brass with the same head stamp won't weigh the same. Believe me I've tried that as well

Hey all, I have my first turkey hunts coming up in April and May in Natchez Trace - North Looking to connect with other experienced turkey hunters and maybe even go out scouting with me over the coming few weeks Anyone interested in teaching an older dog some new tricks Thanks, Rick

Rusty Oak Armory Jeff Roberts 150 N Posey Hill Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 If you are a bit north of Nashville IIRC, it was 15 mins and $20 Good luck

I have a PX4 in 9mm, have well over 10k rounds through it and not a single hiccup that I can remember. Have not replaced any parts, I just shoot it and sometimes clean up Never handled the HK so can't offer anything there Good luck with your decision

And not all reloaders are that precise with powder. In fact, my Lee Pro 1000 can be +- .1 to .2 grains each round and I use Titegroup which is very small and measures pretty consistently. IMHO unless you are doing long range precision reloading, you should be GTG

With segment 3 coming soon, anyone hearing much or seeing them while out and about

Hey all, I went to Barton's Creek this morning, found a couple very nice wheat fields, however not quite ready for the dove, still a bit too green... Sat for over an hour, saw 10-12 birds, only 1 in range, missed him... had one on the run very early in the AM going between lines of trees but just out of range... all in all, a good 4 hours of scouting

Well darn... I was hoping the Quail situation wasn't as bad as I was reading Pheasants, it was a long shot As for dove, I'll keep looking Thanks, Rick

Hey all, Being new to Tennessee, I want to do more Dove hunting and looking for some decent places to go here about an hour north of Nashville I found 2 WMA fields, Wilson County Bone Spring Creek Rd & Wilson County Bone Phillips Rd, actually drove to Bone Spring Creek and can't find a way to get from the street back to the field, it's posted private everywhere... Anyone have any luck at Barton's Creek? Would like to move to Quail when that season opens up as well as Pheasant Thanks, Rick

Hey all I'm very interested in the Prodigy however one thing is holding me up... The checkering on the back of the grip is just to sharp and digs into the heal of my hand. Just holding/gripping it for 5 mins is very irritating. Is it reasonable to have the last row or 2 of the stippling soften down? Has anyone else done something like this maybe on this firearm or similar. Here is where my son's SA Target fits in my hand and it does not irritate, notice the slight bevel, the Prodigy is not beveled at all and is pretty sharp. I'm not looking for a guy with a file... Any thoughts and/or recommendations? I'm about an hour North of Nashville Thanks, Rick

Pocket Holster recommendations?
Toy4Rick replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
My son has been looking something like ClipDraw (https://www.clipdraw.com/product/trigger-sheath-springfield-hellcat/) It's a full trigger guard with a lanyard which clips to something, your pocket or inside your purse or body carry bag Can't speak to it in use... but it's an option Good luck in your search -
My SIL just bought a Canik, looks and feels very nice, haven't shot it yet so time will tell Well balanced, decent weight so recoil should be minimal... grip is very nice Enjoy

Dang Tom, I have everything you are looking for except for the ANIB... LOL mine has ~8k rounds through it and it still runs like new Sweet gun, you are going to like it when you get it To enhance the grip a bit, I took a bicycle innertube, slipped it over the handle and used an xacto to cut to fit. Visually you can't even tell it's there, functionally, it's amazing, pew pew Rick

Moving from KY to TN. Permit transfer?
Toy4Rick replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Don't forget to check you original state carry permit rules... In my case coming from California, I had to relinquish my CCW as soon as I declared that I moved, so there was no overlap that I could use here. I had to take the class here, application, fee and fingerprint The great folks in AZ didn't care that I moved, sent in my change of address, they processed it for free Good luck -
I inherited my fathers Savage 16GA, fully engraved... it's the twin to the Browning A5 He purchased it about 1949 for $20 from the hardware store where he worked b/c the person who put the deposit on it never came back to make payments or pick it up I set the rings this year before going to AZ to hunt dove, man this is a shooter for sure, absolutely love it My brother had it re-blued many years ago so it looks new, the stock has shrunk up a bit over the years so the fit isn't great but it runs like a sewing machine Enjoy

Thanks @FUJIMO My collection is not large, I have my daily tools handily stored in other ways. This will be for those not at the ready but need them out of the closet I'm really liking the small'ish to start and add when needed vs. buying bigger now and trying to find a place to hide it and keep the WAF on the high side Rick
