1. Meh... save the money and buy a good DI gun.  Pistons belong under the hood, not under the handguard.   :2cents:
2.   Right now, it's the people lined up waiting to pay $2,000.... hopefully that will slow down, and prices will come down a bit.
3. The Tavor may finally be the bullpup that pushes me over the edge and gets me to buy one... if the prices ever come down a bit.
4. This thread cost me 50 bucks.      DanO
5. Excellent choice Sonny.  I've had mine for about 6 years, and fired several thousand rounds through it, I'm still very happy.
6. CZ75.... This is actually a really easy question.
7.   Of course.... you know how fast I am.  :tough:   Actually it's a counterweight... makes the whole thing a lot easier to wear.
8. Heh heh... helmet rig is done... night time ne'er-do-wells don't stand a chance.
9. CZ SP-01.... best 9mm service-size gun made so far.  Period.   Especially if you can get a Shadow or the CZ Custom version.
10. I'll give it a shot... they're ridiculously overrated.  They're just another gas-operated shotgun.  Buy an FN SLP or a Remington Versamax, save about 600-800 bucks.
11.   No, his idiocy predates this administration... he's been at this nonsense for quite a while now.
12. Inforce WML.  I've been very happy with mine, I'm going to buy a couple of the IR-capable ones once my wallet gets over PVS-14 trauma.
13. If we're talking combo guns, what I really want is a levergun that can shoot .460 S&W Mag, .454 Casull, .45 Colt, and .410 shotgun shells.
14. As collector guns, all of the Colt revolvers are at crazy values and just keep going up.  If you got a good deal, you should easily be able to turn a tidy profit. As shooting guns... meh... similar vintage Smiths are better.
15. I'm just becoming more and more convinced that this douchebag is on the payroll of the VPC, or some other such gun-grabbing organization.   He doesn't stand a chance at a jury ever awarding him a dime.  The best jury he could possibly hope for is a bunch of "gun people", and threads like this one clearly show that even most of us wouldn't be on his side.
16. I've never been happier to weigh over 250 lbs.
17. Savage is doing the 42 this year... kind of a new-fangled reboot of the old 24.    http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/Model42
18. I felt so sorry for the Turkish soldiers I saw in Bosnia.  The biggest one I saw in the whole unit was about 5'9"... the average height was probably about 5'4", and they all had G3s.  Some of the really short guys very nearly had rifles scraping the ground slung.
19. I literally just got my PVS14 yesterday.  I already have several suppressed guns, so night time shenannigans are probably coming soon.
20.   Why are you trying to find the second best .308 battle rifle?  The AR10-type rifle beats the ever loving bejeezus out of the other three as a combat weapon, especially now that most of them use a PMag.   That being said, if I had to "go to war" with one of the others... my ranking would be FAL, M14, G3.     DanO

advice needed

I'm very impressed with the SIG P938 I picked up last month, and as someone already mentioned, it "works" the same way as your 1911.
22. I wonder how much they would have to "beef it up" for .357Mag/.38 SPL?  That might make a handy little backpack gun.
23. The CZ 82/83 is the absolute pinnacle of blowback handgun design.  I love mine, I wish I would have bought a dozen back when they were super cheap.
24.   If that's a thinly veiled jab at USPSA, it's baloney.  You can get fully competitve gear to shoot in Production, Single Stack, or Revolver Division for a grand or less.
