1. Haven't gotten a letter here, but I drive for a government agency so I'm exempt from having the medical card luckily. Thought about getting the med card in case I wanted to moonlight on the side but never have.
2. Ive been wanting to pick up a DW1911 ever since a member here let me fondle his Dan Wessons a couple years ago after I bought a Kimber Eclipse from him. I found this one on Buds. Ordered it Monday night, and it arrived at my ffl today. It was a trade in but you can barely tell it. Plus it saved me about $300 on a new one. Cant wait to shoot it!
3. Ive got 4 or 5 Nikons around here on various deer rifles. They seem to be a great value. But after purchasing a Vortex Viper last year for my 308 I am hooked. It will be Vipers from here on out. ETA: Ive had a Vortex SPARC on an AR for about 3 years. Has performed flawlessly. Would like to try the SPARC 2. Might hafta buy one for the wifes AR.
4. Big fan of his, him and Hickok45 are probably my 2 favorite channels. Glad his health is improving, wished he would make more vids.
5. LOL, nice.
6. Yep, I remember my first. I wanted ONE just to have ONE. Then another showed up , then I built one, then I built one from leftover parts, then...... It's a disease! I really like those S&W rifles, you done good.
7. Prayers for you buddy.
8. Hadnt checked in a couple years but I bought the Mud Lites on my Rancher from National tire and wheel. Ntwonline.com
9. When I was younger and even dumber I started out deer hunting with dads old 30-06, but I just had to have a new wizz bang magnum. Started with a 7mm mag then a 300wm. Then I had a revelation. I rarely shoot over 100 yards anyway. These days I mainly use 7mm08 6.8spc,or 308 although I used a 243 for a few years also. Guess what, I killed more deer with the little 243 and I wasnt broke or bruised from shooting it.
10. I almost bought a new SR1911 Commander the other day at Buds, boy I'm glad I didn't. I will have one of these.
11. I've spent way to much money at SGammo.com Great people to do buisness with. And hello from a fellow Newport resident.
12. Just got out of the movie, the place was dead silent, not a whisper to be heard as everyone exited. Would definitely recommend.
13. I placed an order for a complete upper on 12/15 and received it 12/24. Suprised the heck outta me. Even after I recieved it, my order showed "processing" for a few days. I ordered a complete lower build kit and some 6.8 mags Saturday,so we'll see how long they take. PSA posted on AR15.com that they are about 9-10 days behind.
14. I had a 20" stag 6.8 upper that I really liked but it was just too heavy for my taste. I'll probably replace it with a 16" soon. Bison and ARP are both great choices.
15. I saw 6 Saturday morning in Decatur county. Killed a big doe and missed a huge 8 about 11:15. Shot a treelimb a few feet in front of my rifle that wasn't visible through the scope. Got one buck tag left, gonna try to fill it next weekend when I can get back to the lease.
16. I don't have a lot to add but this. We have 3 Honda Ranchers. An 01,03, and mine is an 05. They have been abused ,beat, all the plastic nearly busted off and not a straight piece anywhere. But none have ever had a mechanical problem. They just keep on ticking. When it's time to get a new one I will be buying another Honda.
17. Very cool little rifle. I really like the American line of Ruger rifles.
18. For practice ammo check out Georgia Arms. Fmj rounds are usually around $22 per 50. I usually hit there booth at the gun shows but you can also order from there website. If something shows out of stock on the website, give them a call. Sometimes they dont have enough in stock to list online. Ive done that several times when ordering there Canned Heat(500rds).   For full power loads Underwood ammo is the top choice. I carry there 180gr XTPs during deer season and 155gr XTPs the rest of the time.     http://www.georgia-arms.com/new-canned-heat-10mm-180gr-full-metal-jacket/     http://www.georgia-arms.com/10-mm/?fullSite=1
19. All my climbers are Summit. Ive owned others but keep coming back to Summit.    If I could only use 1 stand from now on it would be a Summit Goliath.
20. After killing 2 deer on Saturday I almost decided to take off Sunday but decided to go. About 730 a 4 point comes out the ridge to about 30 while I managed to drill the only branch around him with a 300gr XTP. He hung around like nothing happened till I got reloaded then wandered into the brush. About an hour later this six came down the same trail and gave me a shot at redemption. The three of us took 6 deer and saw around 40, was a great weekend to be in the woods. I got quite a few looks when I headed home from the lease. Had this bobcat under me for a few minutes, very cool, never been that close to a live one. My boy was on cloud nine, already requested deer meat tacos for supper one night this week.
21. #3 is down 6 point, I thought he was a little bigger rack when I shot but Im happy with him. We will eat well this winter. Looks like I will be shooting does from now on out, unless I see a big 'un.
22. The Savage smokeless claimed two more this morning. Shot the spike and drug it to the 4 wheeler trail. Propped up on the bank to rest and 3 does come walking down the 4 wheeler trail. Only 2 got to leave. Had to shoot both left handed, which was something Ive never practiced before. 23. The Savage smokeless claimed two more this morning. Spike and a young doe.
24. The only ones Im really looking to add at this point are an AR10, probaly a M&P 10 or DPMS G2, and a upper end 1911.
25. I just bought my son a new model Seven 7mm-08 that was affected by the recall. I ordered a Timney instead of sending it in. I wish Remington would design an accu-trigger style trigger. I have 3 accu-trigger Savages, would be wonderful if Remington could make as good a trigger.
