Plan on taking out my 6.8 SPCII this year on a doe hunt. Looks impressive on hogs and deer from what I've read on 68forums.

Dropped another doe about 7 this morning. Saw a very nice buck cross the gas line about 350 yards away and head into the hollow where I saw the big buck yesterday while dragging my 9 point out. I gotta get me a stand set up in there before rifle starts.

Killed 2 does opening morning for the freezer, so I was looking for horns this morning. Had 4 does come behind me about 25 yards in some thick brush and kept hearing a buck chasing and grunting every few steps. Never could see him. About 930 this 9 point came out the ridge to my left, found an opening about 30 yards away and when he came into it, I unloaded on him. Both deer last week where bang flops in the 4 wheeler trail. I paid for that today. He ran straight to the bottom of the ridge and died in the creek. It was either drag 150 yards straight up or about 4-500 yards down the creek, I chose the latter. I did jump a monster up out of the bottom dragging him out, one of the best deer I've ever seen while hunting. I know where I'll be come rifle season.

Saw 6 deer between 630 and 830. Ended up killing 2 does and helped my buddy drag out his 8 point.

S&W Performance Center 1911, Dan Wesson, or Springfield TRP?

X2 My Valor Vbob is a beauty and a joy to shoot, eats anything you feed it. -
I've been shooting a smokeless muzzloader since 2008, but I've got an old Knight Wolverine that I use as a backup/loaner gun. I've been thinking about switching it to Blackhorn. All the reviews I've seen seem to say it's a lot cleaner than 777/Pyrodex. Look forward to hearing yalls experiences also.

Hickok45 by a landslide but I enjoy 22plinkster, MAC, and IV8888 also. Edit: wish tnoutdoors9 was still putting out more videos

They just put a windshield in one of my Tacomas, no problems and came to me.

I lose one every year. Seems like it's always one thats well hidden and back in the boonies. The easy to find ones never get taken.

Good looking guns guys! My hunting guns are from left to right: 1981 Marlin 336 in 35Rem with Vortex 1.75-5x32, Remington Model Seven 7mm-08 3-9x40 Nikon Buckmaster, Savage model 10 .308win 3-9×40 Vortex Viper and 6.8 SPCII AR15 3-9×40 Nikon Prostaff BDC. But my absolute favorite is my Savage smokeless 50cal muzzleloader. Shooting 44gr of AA5744 over a black MMP sabot and a 300gr Hornady XTP. Killed 5 with it last year. That's a beautiful Roy rifle. Definatly put it in a sock, I keep my nicer wood rifles in them and the A5 my grandfather had.

Very nice, I have the blued version that belonged to my great grandfather, then my grandfather. I got it after his passing last July. I've only took it out once but like Stumpy said, it shoots very high. I'd probably just give dad the cash for it and stow it away.

Petition was created that demands military be able to CCW
Bad_Bowtie replied to tennesseetiger's topic in General Chat
I signed it this morning when Hickok45 posted the petition on twitter. Seriously, why wouldn't we let the men and women who defend this country carry? I bet these cowards wouldn't attack our soldiers if they knew they were all armed. -
I had a '72 model that I used for several years. I loved that rifle but for some reason traded it off. I recently ran across an '81 model that looks like a new one. It cost me but I brought it home. It is hard to beat the 35Rem, especially in a Marlin, for close range deer hunting. I usually carry my 308 or 6.8SPCII but I look forward to getting the 35 back out this fall.

Picked up a Valor VBob back in the spring. I've only got about 500 rounds thru it but it's been flawless. I had only owned Kimbers and Springfields till then but the DW blows them away in for and finish.

I've been happy with my Brimstone trigger, but it you want the best, nothing beats a Kidd.

If I remember correctly Prices had it marked $479. Wished I would have jumped on it but my wife may divorce me if I bring another gun home. She paid for the SR22 for my birthday so I figured I shouldn't push my luck. BTW Grabagun has SR22s for $275 if anybody else is interested. They are $344 locally plus tax and bgc. http://grabagun.com/ruger-sr22-pistol-22lr-3-5-bl-as-1.html?trk_msg=KR3VAR5VLFEKBCUJS4O04FR0E0&trk_contact=8FFI6VFMEH76ABA819TCNMGMNG&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=http%3a%2f%2fgrabagun.com%2fruger-sr22-pistol-22lr-3-5-bl-as-1.html&utm_campaign=CZ+Scorpion+Giveaway+-+SR22+Blowout+-+10%2f22+Trigger+-+1911+Super+Savings+and+More! John we need to get together and shoot since we are so close.

Awesome, I've had 2 33's and I will never part with my 19. Glocks will grow on ya, I had 8 at one time. I plan on adding a 30s and a 43, almost bought a 43 at Prices last week when I was picking up my SR22.

My last couple of orders arrived in about a week. Seems like they've gotten there act together.

Welcome!

Saw two groups of water sales like that on the river the other day. One ball had 4 or five snakes in it and the other had 3. Snake orgy!
-
Nice, I need a 17 to go with my 19.
