  1. So very sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.
  2. Try this. I was looking up a part for a model 110 I had and it gave me all the info you are looking for. https://store.savagearms.com/partfinder Edit: just looked up a couple of my rifles and it isn't showing the date now. It worked in the past.
  3. Welcome
  4. I had a 1996 Chevy Z71 do something very similar one time. It turned out to be some type of sensor. Speed sensor maybe? Can't remember exactly as this was 10 years ago.
  5. A buddy of mine has one in Gatlinburg for sale. Armalite National Match for 3800 or with a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14×40 for $4400. Not sure if he is willing to negotiate. I can get you contact info if interested.
  6. Happy Easter, He is risen!!
  7. I've used c-products and ASC mags without any problems from either. I ordered all my 6.8 mags from Hamlund tactical, good prices and a sponsor over at 68forums
  8. I'm a fan of the 6.8 I've had 2 rifles chambered for it. After selling the first I decided to quickly replace it. This one isn't going anywhere. I've not used it for hogs but it has worked wonders on whitetails. Check out 68forums.com lots of people use it on pigs over there.
  9. I'm a Vortex fan, I'd probably look for something like this http://shop.opticsplanet.com/vortex-crossfire-ii-2-7x32-rifle-scope.html?_iv_code=VX-RS-CR227-CF2-31001R&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=plusbox-beta&gclid=CMyCxZaNiMsCFYI9gQodXkABeQ
  10. Pretty crowded, we were there from 10 till 12. As usual the tables were ridiculous. $139 stripped Anderson lower and a box of mini mags for $28. Did pick up a lnib Shield 40 with talon grips, 5 mags, and apex trigger for $350.
  11. The wife and I will be there today. She is looking for a new carry gun.
  12. Going to pick up a Glock 43 sometime soon. Also needing another 357 Ruger or Smith. I put together a couple more lowers so I need uppers to complete them. Wouldn't mind finding an EMP or another 1911.
  13. Summit Viper SS owner here. Best stand I've ever used. I'll probably buy the the Goliath next for the extra room.
  14. Nice deer, love to see people get there best buck!
  15. Congrats guys, and merry CHRISTmas to you all.
  16. #6 for the year and I'm done. Gonna try and get my boy on his first during the juvenile hunt or maybe before. Shot this doe with a 6.8SPCII. Stag Model 5 upper with a lower I built from PSA parts and Magpul furniture. Killed 3 does and a 9 point on the muzzleloader and a 7 point and this doe during rifle. Been a great season, I've seen more deer and passed more deer than I ever have.
  17. Merry Christmas!
  18. Congrats
  19. I tagged my second buck at 730 this morning. Thought he was an 8 point but he is missing a brow tine. The Lord has blessed me this season with 3 does, a 9 point and now this 7. Hate that I can't buck hunt anymore but I'll try to get my boy on his 1st deer and take a few does with the 6.8spc AR15.
  20. Savage 10 308 or 6.8 SPCII AR15 most likely but will probably get the Remington Seven 7mm-08 and Marlin 35Rem out before end of season
  21. Plan on taking out my 6.8 SPCII this year on a doe hunt. Looks impressive on hogs and deer from what I've read on 68forums.
  22. Dropped another doe about 7 this morning. Saw a very nice buck cross the gas line about 350 yards away and head into the hollow where I saw the big buck yesterday while dragging my 9 point out. I gotta get me a stand set up in there before rifle starts.
  23. Killed 2 does opening morning for the freezer, so I was looking for horns this morning. Had 4 does come behind me about 25 yards in some thick brush and kept hearing a buck chasing and grunting every few steps. Never could see him. About 930 this 9 point came out the ridge to my left, found an opening about 30 yards away and when he came into it, I unloaded on him. Both deer last week where bang flops in the 4 wheeler trail. I paid for that today. He ran straight to the bottom of the ridge and died in the creek. It was either drag 150 yards straight up or about 4-500 yards down the creek, I chose the latter. I did jump a monster up out of the bottom dragging him out, one of the best deer I've ever seen while hunting. I know where I'll be come rifle season.
