  1. I bought this Mossberg 590 New from Grabagun.com a couple of years ago. It has sat in the safe unfired every since. It is a 20 inch 8 shot, bead sight, with bayonet lug. It came from the factory with the extra pistol grip stock in the box if you ever want to convert it to a pistol grip. I am only selling because I want to buy a new Mini 14  Tactical and need to sell one or two to purchase the Ruger. Located in Lenoir City. $485

  2. This Savage MKII  has the 16 inch barrel threaded for a suppressor along with the target bolt handle and AccuTrigger. Comes with an extra 10 round magazine.  I bought three of these at the same time in 2012. I took all three to the range and shot them in a lead sled to see which one was more accurate. I then sold the other two and kept the one that shot the best. I put a plain fixed power Simmons 4X scope on it, sighted it in and put it in the safe. It sat there until a couple of months ago when I got it out and shot about 10 rounds through it just to make sure it was still sighted in. It has one very small scratch from bumping something in the safe. I took a photo of the spot. I have now decided I want a new Ruger Mini 14 Tactical so I am selling a couple to help pay for the new Ruger. Located in Lenoir City. $285

Can't recommend a specific dealer but I had a Carolina Carport put in a few years ago and have been happy with it. I paid extra for the heavy duty model with extra bracing and tie downs, suppose to have a longer guarantee, I'd have to check the paperwork. You can by as little or as much as you want and pick the size and hight.  I got 3 sides enclosed but you can pay extra for garage doors and windows. Takes a little lead time but they show with a crew and have it up in a few hours on the site you have prepared.

My Son-In-Law got me started down this road. He has a friend who got one from Carolina Carport. It was a two car with garage doors. I'm sure he got the cheapest model as it was just a bit over $8,000 plus $4,000 for the concrete slab. Sounds about like what I want only I would probably pay the extra for the 12 gauge metal framing instead of the standard 14 gauge.

  4. I need a little advice guys. I am wanting some extra garage storage space. I have been looking at metal two car garages. The problem seems to be that everyone and his brother sells them and I have no idea who might be the best person to get one from. Has anyone on here had one erected lately and if so who did you use and were you happy with them?

Worst part is I'm in Nashville now, and have been waiting for a good Ruger IV Threaded Barrel....  even in stores I can't find them.  😞

Let me know if you head toward Nashville.

I don't expect to be going to West Tennessee anytime soon but if I do, I will certainly let you know. Thanks for your interest.

  6. I ordered this AR from PSA 2 years ago. I have never fired it but can not find the box. I may have used the box to ship another firearm. Anyway the gun is still in new condition. I just have too many AR's and would like a New Condition Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 5.56 or 7.62 x 39 or a Ruger Mini 14 Tactical.  $600 as shown or if you are going to use an optical sight, I can do $550 without the carry handle. If you are not a well established TGO member I will need to see a carry permit or a TN DL. Located in Lenoir City.

My property taxes pay for more than just schools right? Roads, street lights, parks. I have no plans to have children and I've never felt I'm getting screwed because of that.

Private schools are a for profit business as as I know. Thinking that tax payers should fund their security needs doesn't make any sense to me. When movie theaters decide to have security they pay an off duty cop to be there. I'm not sure why a private school should be any different

I would think that the parents of kids in private school pay just as much in taxes as the rest of us. I want their children protected just like ours. They are already helping pay for our kids education even though their kids do not use it.

  9. I would agree that first " I'll Take It" should be a settled deal by both parties. However,  PM sent does not mean much to me. I send PM's quite often to Sellers just asking questions. I may put PM Sent just to make sure the Seller sees that I have sent him a message.

Can you expand on this for those of us(me) that don't understand. If a bank owns a mortgage and those customers are still paying their mortgage payment, why does this matter?

The problem is: The bank borrowed money from depositors at 1% with a 2 year CD. They then loaned the money to you for 30 years at 3%. That gives them a 2% profit for two years. The catch is now they have to return the money from that two year CD and borrow the balance owed on your 30 year mortgage from a new CD investor that they will have to pay more than 3% for. Now they are in the hole and it will get deeper as rates rise.

And once you SBR, how does it work with a spouse? If I die, my wife wouldn't be able to be in possession right?

The way it was explained to me 25 years ago when I got my Class 3 dealers license is an NFA firearm can be possessed by the executor of your estate and transferred by the executor to an heir named in your will on a form 5 with no transfer tax. This was 25 years ago and may have been changed but my guess is it still works this way.

  12. I'm with you. I won't buy a gun that has been customized. I want it stock factory. I'm the same way about automobiles. I have passed on several S&W revolvers lately because they have spring kits in them. I figure the manufacturers have engineers making 6 figures designing these firearms and someone in a garage on their workbench is trying to improve on their design. It might work 20% of the time but the other 80% of the time they just downgrade a good gun. Just my 2 cents worth. Your opinion may differ.

I thought Form 5 was for an unserviceable item. Isn't Form 4 to transfer to another person ($200 tax required)? I'm not an NFA aficionado so I can't say for sure.

It has been several years since I had a Class 3 Dealers License but I believe the Form 5 was for tax free transfers, such as to a law enforcement agency or to a heir named in a will.

  14. They told me all they had in stock was the display models and they would not sell one of them. I was then told I could order one for delivery in 4 to 6 months. I then just went to tractor supply and bought one. But that is the reason buyers did not just purchase one in stock.

Eray, is that 649 in your avatar?  Looks to be .38 Special rather than later .357.

Actually it is a pair of Airweight Model 38's in satin nickel. They have the Ace laminate wood grips that S&W offered back then. They are 38 specials. I bought 4 of them new probably 25 or 30 years ago. I sold off two of them over the years as I carried them and got them scuffed up. These last two were not carried and stayed new looking so I kept them in my collection.

Your toilet tanks hold drinkable water for short term use.

You're best source of drinking water in an emergency would probably be your water heater. I have two with 50 gallons each. I have a next door neighbor with a well so I could probably run a water hose from their house for drinking water. He has a generator for the pump. I live on the lake so I could flush the toilet by carrying a 5 gallon bucket of lake water. Not ideal but better than having to dispose of waste without the septic system.

That's quite a list of some nice classic musle cars.

I was young and had just gotten my job as a railroad engineer. I was making 3 times as much money as I had ever made in my life and wasted a lot of it on new cars. Now I just waste my pension collecting guns. LOL
