Thanks Greg. -
I'm sure I am not the only one here who buys accessories for guns then never gets around to using them. 2 New In the Factory Packaging Ruger American 4 round mags for .308 Win, 243 Win, 6.5 Creedmore, 6 MM Creedmore, and 7MM-08. Price is $40 for the pair. Like New in the factory packaging 30 MM matte blue steel Ruger Scope Rings. Product Number 5B30HM. Fits Mini 14, Mini 30, 44 Deerfield, 77/22, Redhawk, PC 8, PC 4, MK II and MK III Pistol. $40 for the pair. Must meet fairly close to Lenoir City as I can not afford to travel too far to sell a $40 item.

My wife has hsd two. The doctor told her they sometimes do both of them at the same time for a man because after he has one, he often will not come back for the second one. Be sure to take a pain pill about 30 minutes before physical therapy.

Nice little shotgun. On the wrong end of the state of course.

I talked to FUJIMO about this one. It is a nice gun but it is an older model with collector value. Really looking for a gun without collector value. What I really want is a 442, 637, or 638 for around $450-500 or a SP101 or GP100 for around $650-700. Or even a 686 2 1/2 inch for around $750. Thanks anyway. -

20 years ago, I shot a lot of both .357 Sig and .40 S&W. I had a Sig 229 in 40 and one in 357. I also had a Glock model 23 and model 32 in 40 and 357. I always shot better groups with the .357 than the 40. The 357 was harder on guns than the 40. I sent my Model 32 back to Glock because of some peening of the metal on the locking block. Never saw that with my Glock 40. Glock said it was normal with the .357. I always considered the .357 magnum revolver to be the best all round defense caliber. I read in one of the gun magazines where they compared the Glock Model 32 in .357 Sig with a S&W Model 686 with a 4 inch barrel. They used Winchester 125 grain silvertip in both guns. Penetration into a gel block was just about the same. The Glock with the .357 Sig was actually about 50 FPS faster probably due to the revolver having a barrel gap. The Glock was essentially a .357 magnum with with 13 rounds. I think if the .357 Sig had come out before the 40 then the 40 would never have been developed.

To the top again. -
I think the Mossberg Over Under guns are made by Khan Arms in Turkey. The CZ's are made by Huglu in Turkey. There may be US built O/U's for $1,000 but I have been unable to find one.
-
Who builds an American double barrel in my $1,000 budget range? I haven't been able to find anyone.
-
Only thing standing between me and a Beretta is $2500.

I looked at a Drake at my local gun shop. I could not force myself to like the open area with no rib between the two barrels. Other than that, I would probably like the Drake just as well. I ordered a new Redhead Premier in 20ga from Family Firearms a couple of weeks ago for $828. It had a wood to metal fit more like a Browning or Beretta. Compared to the Drake it was gorgeous. Really nice wood. Yesterday, I took the plunge and ordered a new 12 ga just like it. I really like the 20ga but 12ga shells seem to be much more available at a reasonable price.

I have dealt with plenty of those people. When I was young 40 years ago, I worked 4 years as a police officer. Believe me, I have seen what people will do to each other. I have also looked into the barrel of a British .303 being held by a mentally deranged man from 30 feet away. We all have to weigh the risks and decide what is best for us. There are probably 150 people in my church on a Sunday. For all I know 149 of them may be packing a gun. I won;t be one of them. Just a personal decision between me and my God. You do what is best for you.
-
True Greg but I would bet the odds are greater of you being in a house fire than a church shooting. Just guessing here. As for the smoke alarms, After 30 years of blowing a train whistle I can no longer hear a smoke alarm go off.
-
OK. Let's look at this from a statistical standpoint. Seems last time I read the numbers something like 350 people a year die in mass shootings in the US. There are probably about 350 million people in the US. That means you have about a one in a million chance of being a mass shooting victim in this country. I am sure most of the 350 are not shot in church so that makes my odds much less. I think my odds are much greater of being killed in an auto accident on the way to church than from a mass shooter in church. If I am wrong you are welcome to come to my funeral, stand over my casket, and say " I told you so " and I will be looking down on you smiling. I will take up my sword and carry it. Just not in the Temple.
-
I guess I am in the minority here. Church is the only place I go without a gun. I realize there have been a few rare church shootings but if I can not trust my lord to protect me in his house where can I count on his protection. If I die in church, I figure it his will. I do not have a problem with your decision but it is just not for me.

I just bought a 20 Ga CZ Redhead Premiere O/U shotgun. First CZ shotgun I have ever owned. The fit and finish on this thing looks great. I like it so well that I am thinking of ordering a 12 Ga to go with it. I know they are made in Spain for CZ. I was just wondering if anyone here has had any problems with this gun. If I ever want one, I probably need to go ahead and get it while CZ has a $100 rebate. Opinions?

Troy Alabama.

I think you are on to something here. Probably half of the buyers never get the rebate. Their either never get around to claiming it or do not submit all the required documentation.
-
Could also be that they jacked their prices up over the last couple of years to take advantage of the inflation situation and went a bit too far. Now they may be having to correct pricing a bit to maintain market share. Could also be that all the new first time gun owners that thought they might now need one have got one and that market is declining.
-
Could be they are just catching up to demand. I just found it interesting that they all seem to be catching up at the same time and are starting with $100 rebates instead of $50 rebates.
-
I am getting a lot of emails from gun retailers and just about all of them are pushing manufacturers rebate offers. It seems just about all of them are offering $100 rebates on new firearms. Smith & Wesson, Ruger and CZ are a few I saw on this morning's email scan. The last couple of years many models have been hard to find. Now everything seems to be in stock everyplace you check. It also seems to me like used gun sales on the forum may be slowing as well. I look at guns as mostly a non essential purchase such as furniture. Everyone has to have essentials such as food and gasoline so sales will not go drop much in a recession. Most people can get by with the old couch another year or two if money is tight. Most of us really have all the guns we need and can get by with what we have now. Anything we buy now is a want and not a need. So, are gun sales the warning sign of a coming recession?
