  1. You made an excellent choice. I have 4 of the parked loaded springfields. Only thing I changed on them was putting in a GI recoil spring setup and changing the mainspring housings to EGW arched ones. My favorites of all the 1911's.

  2. I have Springfield Armorys. Colts, Kimbers, S&Ws, and Rugers. If money was the biggest issue, and I was going to buy an entry level 1911, I would get a Ruger SR1911. If I was only going to buy one to keep for years, I would pick what I consider to be the best compromise between price and quality, the Springfield Loaded. I have 14 1911's and five of them are Springfield Loadeds. They have just about everything I want on a 1911 except for a checkered frontstrap.

  3. I bought a small one off Amazon by Tectronics. It was only about $69 but had a lot of great reviews. I have had it about 6 months now. It records very plainly even in darkness and records sound if you need a record of what everyone is saying. So far, I have been very happy with it.

  4. My cost for 3 with shipping was $651, plus $55 for my local FFL and TICS, so my total cost will be $706 out the door, or $235 per gun.

Where do you want me to meet you with your $706. Seriously, I picked my two up today and they are Gen 2. You can thank me for talking you into buying these later.

  5. You just cost me $600. I sure hope they do have the newer sights, or I'm going to be eating dog food for nothing. ;-)

His did and I can not imagine PSA having both Gen 2 and Gen 1 LCP's, both in FDE, in the same batch. Of course, he did pay $239 for his instead of $199. I am betting they just lowered the price another $40 and it is the same gun. I may be disappointed in a couple of days, but right now, I am feeling pretty good about this deal.

  6. I have a friend who bought one of these from Palmetto State Armory about 6 weeks ago when they were $239. I checked his and it was not only darker than the photo, It was a Gen 2 with the no dash serial number and slightly taller sights. Super deal at $199. Got an email today from Palmetto advising that my two have shipped. Probably should have bought four.

  7. There is no way I would evacuate and go anywhere the government tells me to go. There are way too people in charge who do not care about my family or I. There is no way I could carry everything so the best option for me is to bug in. Bugging in makes it easier to defend myself because I can guarantee any place the government wants you to go will be a gun free zone.

I have enough food to sustain my family for a long time without hunting. I have plenty of game in my area and I will defend it the same way I would defend my family's life because if you take the game you are potentially causing my family to starve and I will not allow that to happen. Same thing goes for any other resource I have access, and a right, to. People, not you, think they are going to bug out to the hills but there are already people in those hills and the majority do not want outsiders coming in taking resources. And those that think they are going to take my resources are going to be met with an overwhelming amount of firepower.

For water I have a well with a hand pump I made but I also collect water in barrels and all of that will be filtered through a Berkey filter. I would STRONGLY suggest getting some sort of water filter. You can buy personal water filters for $20 that will filter 250+ gallons of water. They are a lot easier to carry on your person than the amount of water the average person will need.

And if you think about it population centers are going to be a lot easier to survive in than the "hills". You already have shelter, you know the area, your supplies are already there and when help comes it will be in the population centers first. Water is much easier to come by in the cities. It is much easier to defend as well. Travelling will be nearly impossible from the population centers and if you do make it out you will be easy pickings for bands of thugs.

The average person would not last more than two weeks in the hills, they would die from dehydration or the elements depending on the time of year.

My thoughts exactly. There is no way I can carry enough stuff to last even a month. No matter how bad it might get, I will board up and take my chances at home. If they get me here they could have gotten me easier someplace else.

  8. In the great state of TN it is illegal to give or receive oral sex, shoot any game from a moving automobile except a WHALE, sell a hollow log, and carry a skunk into the state!!! LMBO I thought these were really funny.

I don't see a problem with any of these.

  9. One other thing about a dealer closing his business. The dealer sends all 4473's in to ATF. They are not legally allowed to create a computer database. What they do instead, is transfer all the forms to microfilm so they can be more easily retrieved at a later date.

  10. What prevents you from seeking damages for that now? And what would that bill change?

As near as I can tell from the NRA email, This bill creates a " Cause of Action Against Your Employer " which is not currently established. It would make it easier to convince a jury that you had a legal right to compensation for the unfair termination. . Of course the employer is going to say you were terminated for some other reason, but lets face it, Government can not solve all our problems.
