  1. First I would go to www.annualcreditreport.com and request a free copy of my credit report from all three of the credit reporting agencys. If there are things on there you disagree with, send them a certified letter disputing the incorrect information. They will investigate the discrepencies and get back to you. Until you know exactly what it is you can't do much about it.
  2.   Where do you want me to meet you with your $706. Seriously, I picked my two up today and they are Gen 2. You can thank me for talking you into buying these later.
  3. If these young people would just speak English, us old people would know what they were saying.
  4.   Now I'm confused. I knew what EE stood for but what is "DL"
  5.   I'll give you $600 for three of them even if they are Gen 1.
  6.   His did and I can not imagine PSA having both Gen 2 and Gen 1 LCP's, both in FDE, in the same batch. Of course, he did pay $239 for his instead of $199. I am betting they just lowered the price another $40 and it is the same gun. I may be disappointed in a couple of days, but right now, I am feeling pretty good about this deal.
  7. I have a friend who bought one of these from Palmetto State Armory about 6 weeks ago when they were $239. I checked his and it was not only darker than the photo, It was a Gen 2 with the no dash serial number and slightly taller sights. Super deal at $199. Got an email today from Palmetto advising that my two have shipped. Probably should have bought four.
  8. I don't even like the LCP. But I bought two anyway. Can not pass up a deal.
  9. You are still a newlywed. April 17 will make me 44 years.
  10.   My thoughts exactly. There is no way I can carry enough stuff to last even a month. No matter how bad it might get, I will board up and take my chances at home. If they get me here they could have gotten me easier someplace else.
  11. I recently order a new complete upper and complete lower from them. They both look great but there is quite a bit of wiggle in the fit between the two.
  12.   I don't see a problem with any of these.
  13. One other thing about a dealer closing his business. The dealer sends all 4473's in to ATF. They are not legally allowed to create a computer database. What they do instead, is transfer all the forms to microfilm so they can be more easily retrieved at a later date.
  14.   As near as I can tell from the NRA email, This bill creates a " Cause of Action Against Your Employer " which is not currently established. It would make it easier to convince a jury that you had a legal right to compensation for the unfair termination. . Of course the employer is going to say you were terminated for some other reason, but lets face it, Government can not solve all our problems.
  15.   I just got an email from the NRA. A bill allowing you to seek damages if fired for having a gun in your car, has cleared commities in both houses and is heading for a full vote. Sounds like they may be working on solving your problem..
  16.   I don't know that " Guns In Bars " would pass today but " Guns In Cars " passed. That is much more important to me.
  17.   I can't think of anything worse than the bunch of republicans we now have in office. Oh wait a minute. Yes I can. The bunch of democrats we had in office before them.
  18.   It will drop back to normal prices, but it will take several months.
  19.   I would bet that a lot of Buyers get a negative feedback for failing to complete the transaction.
  20. I decided he may be right. There might be too many so I sold a couple of mine. Glad to do my part.
  21. I've got 2000 rounds of 62 grain green tip. Think I'll sell it and use the money to buy back 3000 rounds of 55 grain.
  22. I saw my Dad shoot a man with a 32 and lead round nose ammo 52 years ago. Shot him 5 times at point blank range in the chest. The man stood there in shock about 45 seconds before falling to the ground. The guy actually lived. Dad went out the next day and bought an S&W M&P 38 special. Loaded it with lead round nose as well, but he said next time he would at least use a bigger caliber.

As a matter of fact, The Inspector examining me for my FFL application informed me that I was free to refuse to sell a gun to any person I choose for any reason I wanted.

True but I can see where some might be reluctant to switch them out. ATF regulates Gun Dealers very closely and expects every T crossed and I dotted. The dealer has to examine the ID closely. If your buyer had a revoked Drivers License and you showed their DL as being the ID used, it could raise some questions as to whether you really checked their ID. Just saying that I can see why some dealers don't subsitute one number for the other..

OK lets see if I can clear this up for everyone. There are two ways most FFL's conduct a background check. The first is to pick up the phone and call 1-877-GUN CHEK. An operator answers and takes all your information and does the background check then gives the dealer an approval number that he writes on the form 4473. Using this system an HCP number works fine and TBI accepts it just like a DL. The second way, which most dealers now use, is to do the background check themselves on the computer. It is usually quicker and easier than calling the TICS. When you log on to the website it asks for the purchasers DL number. When you type in the DL number it automatically fills in the  purchaser's name, address, social security number and all other info so you only have to fill in is the firearm info. This computer system only accepts DL numbers not HCP numbers. I always just typed the HCP number in the DL number slot and it worked fine. Some retailers may not be aware they can type the HCP number in the DL slot or they may not be sure that it is completely legal to do so.
