  1. For battle rifle I would do a .308 caliber rifle. Whether you go ar10, SCAR, FAL, etc that is up to you. I would do a 14.5-16in barrel with a MPVO on it. I have an 18in LMT AR10 and it is awesome but is on the heavy side so I would look at a shorter and lighter barrel if it's purpose was a battle rifle
  2. I used to have a rifle that had a white oaks armament barrel. It was a tack driver, well as good of a shot as I could do. The barrels came highly recommended from some dudes I knew in the AMU when I was at Fort Benning.
  3. I carry my Staccato C2 sometimes. It usually depends on what I am wearing but also my weight/gut. Fall and winter is easier as summer tends to be thinner and lighter clothes. I appendix carry so when I am a little less in shape and my gut it a little larger, I find it a little harder to not print. I do want to eventually get the Staccato CS to help make it a little easier to carry.
  4. All of my form 1s, with a trust, have been around 3 weeks.
  5. I have a radian on my MPX but run geissele ACH or SCH on my ar15s and ar10. I would recommend either the radian or the geissele.
  6. I have a SW MP22c and the glock 44. I really enjoy my MP22c and it is a great suppressor host too. The glock 44 was a great training aid but I don't shoot it much as I am slowly moving away from glock and selling them off. Zero issues with the glock 44 but I would do the MP22c over it.
  7. I will echo most everyone else and say go green dot. I find green to be much easier to pick up and track so I am quicker on target. I haven't swapped all my red dots but will start.
  8. I have always thought a good .30 and .22 qd suppressors would cover most calibers. I did a surefire 300sps, then silencerco octane 9, then silencerco switchback, and finally with a surefire rc2. All are great for my purposes. I probably could have lived without the 9mm can though, it sounded great initially with "suppress everything" but often just sits in the safe now.
  9. You should be able to use the spring that comes with the can so the piston you picked out should be all you need.
  10. I would recommend for a red dot and flashlight but if you really do not want an optic than at least a flashlight. Night sights work ok as the lights go out but you also are more likely to lose positive identification of what you're shooting at. Tritium does require at least some light so if there is no ambient light than they are just as useful as regular iron sights, not sure what the lighting in your house looks like but figured I would bring it up.
  11. I would recommend .243 exactly for that. It is a great starter caliber but good enough to keep if a person never wants to change calibers in my opinion.
  12. I don't own a .243 but have shot one before and thought it was pretty tame compared to the .308. I know a lot of people who hunt with it and have had great results.
  13. I think it depends on what you want to do with it. I haven't had a MK18 but have had a few uppers around the 10.5-12.5in. I would say do it in 300 blackout if the intended use is home defense as it is a better caliber out of that barrel length. My 11.5in 5.56 upper is a lot of fun but the caliber is a little lacking at that barrel length. I am a big LMT fan so if you want the MK18 style I would go with one of their uppers or go DD if you want the block II look.
  14. I unfortunately do not have both but I do have an ESEE 4. I do recommend the ESEE 4 and think that it is a great knife. If you went more expensive towards some of the toors, winklers, etc than you may get slightly better but for the money it is great.
  15. I have been using benchmade knives for my EDC for years. They had their PR issue a couple years ago but the knives have been great. For fixed I would do the ESEE 4.
