PS. Just a continuation of my previous post. How much do you know about Arisaka history? I’ve found some Arisaka actions for sale but they don’t look like Type 99’s to me. Even the Japanese script is wrong. They LOOK like type 38’s but, once again the Japanese script doesn’t say type 38!?!? The actions all have two ruptured case vent holes. I thought that only the type 38’s had two vent holes. Any help will be appreciated. -

Darn! I love my 7.7 Type 99. It is in VERY original shape and I absolutely will not modify it in any way shape or form. That’s why I was looking for just a receiver or a barreled receiver. That way I can build a hunting rifle AND enjoy some time at the range. If you hear about any other 7.7’s for sale I’d appreciate a heads up. -
