  1. Darn. Missed it. I've been on the hunt for one to replace the Golden Boy my step-dad had stolen from him in the 80s
  2. Selling a 1898 Krag-Jorgensen rifle. Chambered in the venerable .30-40 Krag cartridge. Someone sporterized it at some point, but did a fine job of things. The rear leaf sight was removed and a Lyman peep sight was added at the rear of the receiver. The old sling swivel was also removed and patched quite nicely. The rifling is still strong and will be even stronger after a good cleaning (there's a fair amount of copper fouling in the grooves). Most importantly, though, is that the action has that smooth-as-butter feel that the Krags are well known for. The rifle is light weight and well balanced for what it is. This would make a heck of a deer gun Asking 450. Would consider trades for .32ACP pistols. I'd also consider SxS or O/U shotguns in 12ga. Show me what you got F2F meetup in Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, White House, Gallatin, or Portland. Any further out and y'all will have to come my way
  3. I had a S&W M&P 9c years ago. I sold it off, but apparently I still had 3 12 round mags tucked away in a box. These are the 12 rounders with the finger rests. 100% new and unopened 80 bucks 90 bucks. F2F meet up anywhere in the triangle between Goodlettsville, Portland, and Gallatin. Would consider shipping, but you pay postage
  4. Hey I'm right next to White House and I'd love to buy that Swiss ammo off you.
  5. You didn't miss much at Franklin. Venue was large, but the place felt mostly empty. One guy had a table full of older milsurp guns, but other than that it was the usual Glock/AR-15 show.
  6. I think they're one of the fugliest things on the road. They look like a low resolution car from some early 90's Sega racing game. That said, a buddy of mine has one that he wrapped to look like a Warthog from Halo. Then again he's also got a Delorean and more money than he (apparently) knows that to do with.
  7. I have a Vz70 and really like it. For me it's a range toy, but I could see carrying it. That steel frame sucks up the recoil from the little .32 cartridge. You can dump the magazine center of mass with no issues. Unfortunately it seems like the examples I come across these days are pretty beat up. I was lucky enough to grab one when they first came into the country in bulk
  8. Or they copy off Ukraine's homework and tie them to poles with pallet wrap
  9. I saw something on the news about Newport being evacuated due to the dam possibly failing. I'm hoping that situation is resolved. Y'all are dealing with enough water already. Edit: Nevermind, I scrolled up on the thread. I should stop coming into the conversation at the newest message. Y'all are in my thoughts and I'm hoping everyone's damage is minimal.
  10. Sorry folks. This one went quick. I'd not been able to update the post till now
  11. Taurus TX-22 Full size, .22 caliber pistol. 2 15 round magazines. Barrel nut adapter for running suppressed. Ambi safety Comes with box, manual, original barrel cap, and even the handgun cable lock 1 box of ammo, because you don't give a toy without batteries Not many rounds through it. Got it in a multiple item lot and I've already got enough .22 pistols asking 250 bucks cash or trade Trades: .32ACP pocket guns Side by Side shotguns (no Damascus barrels) 12ga 00 buck ammo Buyer must be TN resident, over 21, and willing to show TN DL or concealed permit to prove it Willing to meet in public in Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, White House, Portland, or Gallatin area

    Nutsac bags

I'll also +1 the Timbuk2 bags. They're nearly indestructible. Back in the Northwest these things were pretty much the mainstay of every commuter and hiker. We used to joke that they were part of the "Welcome to Seattle starter pack" along with the ubiquitous NorthFace pullover and Nalgene bottle
  13. Just bought a Southern Tactical Vz61. I'm about to Form 1 it. Then I can rock it like every generic Slavic bad guy from an 80's action movie

    Nutsac bags

As a fellow bag whore, I understand the need. I have more packs than I know what to do with. I normally travel with my Tactical Tailor Urban Operator pack, but when I need something smaller and more low profile I've been using this one since 2013 and it's held up great. https://www.amazon.com/Leaper-Canvas-Messenger-Sling-Shoulder/dp/B01D8HKJP2/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
  15. The Ruger Max 9 is a nice bit of kit. My EDC is a Sig P365 XL. I used to carry a Glock 23, but that little Sig fits my body so much better and I get 15 rounds. I briefly owned a M&P 9c, but for whatever reason I just could not get good with it. Shooting the Sig I can dump a magazine center-of-mass without issue, but I was all over the place with that S&W. Ended up selling it to a buddy who seems to be a natural with it.
  16. I've got a Beretta "New Puma" .32 and it's a really nice gun for what it is. Shoots straight and reliably. The only .22 pocket pistol I have is this hilariously dumb thing. It's an Italian copy of a Mossberg Brownie. Runs .22 Short and Long. 22LR brass seems to be just a smidge too long and makes extraction difficult so I just shoot .22 Short in it.
  17. This one was odd. It fell into my lap at a very reasonable price from a notable dealer in this space. The price was cheap enough I had an immediate 'What's wrong with it?' reaction. That said, it's legit and it shoots great. I guess every once and a while you find a deal.
  18. I actually got my first Savage .32 earlier this year at the Tennessee Military Collectors show down in Franklin. Haven't taken it to the range yet, but I've always wanted one. I'd hoped to find an early one with the metal grips, but the one I ended up with will do just fine. I've got a Remington Model 51, but it's the .380 version. I keep hoping to run into someone with the .32ACP model who wants to trade.
  19. Like I said in my intro, one of things I collect are .32ACP pocket guns. I decided to pull out a few of my more interesting examples Top left is a Frommer Stop in 7,65. This is one of the strangest pocket guns out there. The recoil spring sits on top, which is pretty uncommon. However, the oddest thing about this pistol is that uses a rotating bolt, similar to what you'd find in an AK. There was even a machine pistol version of it. Two pistols, upside down, each with 25 round magazines, are mounted in a little tripod. I assume the Hungarians had worries that the rabbits would rise up against them Top right is a French "Unique" pistol. This one features an acceptance stamp showing that it was in use with the Moroccan police Bottom right is a German Dreyse M1907. The Dreyse was fairly innovative for its day in that it's striker fired and the firing pin protruded out of the back so you could see/feel if it was cocked Bottom left is the venerable Colt M1903 pocket hammerless. As far as vest guns go, none are more classy. I actually carry mine from time to time. Makes you feel like an old tyme detective searching gin-joints for a dangerous dame with gams that don't quit In the center is a CZ 27. This one features several Waffenampt markings indicating that it was accepted into service with the German military in WWII. The fact that it is blued rather than parkerized would indicate that this was produced just before or early into the German occupation of Prague. This one is magnificent. The bluing is still deep and rich and the trigger even retains its factory straw bluing. Whoever it was issued to clearly didn't do much with it. Honorable mention: Maxine. Like all cats she feels the need to make an appearance when the guns come out Hope you folks enjoy the post.
  20. Last time I had checked eForms wasn't able to do a Corp to Trust transfer. That might have changed. I'll check. If so, score one for procrastination!
  21. Yup. Talk to 4 different ATF agents and you'll get 9 different opinions.
  22. I started my NFA journey back in the early 2000's in the great state of Washington. Before the ATF removed the CLEO signoff requirement, getting a Form 4 signed in western WA (the more liberal side of the state) was next to impossible. Folks hadn't quite figured the trust thing out so, like many others, I created a WA State Non-Profit corporation to hold my NFA assets. My wife and I finally got a gun trust done 3 years back and I want to transfer my assets from the corporation so I can collapse it now that I live in TN (I have a buddy back in WA who currently acts as my 'registered agent' and I'm sure he'd love for that to end now that WA is going full California). Has anyone done a bulk transfer of NFA assets between two entities? I've heard a lot of conflicting reports regarding photos and fingerprint cards. I've heard: Each Form 4 needs 2 fingerprint cards (per trustee) and photographs I can do 2 fingerprint cards (per trustee) and photos for the whole packet I can do 2 fingerprint cards (per trustee) for the whole packet, but each Form 4 needs photographs Given that I've got 5 suppressors, 3 SBRs, and an AOW I am hoping to not have to do 18 fingerprint cards for each trustee. Also, for those that might suggest talking to a lawyer, the 3 bullet points above all came from 3 different attorneys Also, I'm curious if I have to do a Certificate of Compliance for each transfer or can my wife and I each do one for the whole shebang.
  23. The main reason I don't open carry is that I want it to be a surprise in the event that I need to draw it. About the only time I'll open carry is when I'm hiking. Hiking with an IWB holster on is unpleasant. Additionally nobody really looks at you twice when you've got a piece on your hip out in the woods.
