I agree 100%. Also, you must have continuity in your training, otherwise your skills and knowledge will degrade over time. The guys that scare me the most are the ones that received "formal training" years ago, but have not made any efforts to maintain knowledge or skills. Typically, those fellas overconfidence in themselves leads to trouble. That's my opinion.

I'm a Ruger fan, but I think the Taurus 24/7 is much better than the ruger p-95.

Its cheaper and much cleaner than any other plinking round that I know of.

Well, I decided to go with the glock. Today, I picked up a used G34 (2pin w/ rail and new grip). Very impressed with the 3.5lb trigger, but not the adjustable sites. Now i just need to pickup a G26 and i'll be done. Thanks for everyone's help!

Yes, they are closed Sun and Mon. This week they were closed Tues and Wed for trade show.

They are about 100 yards behind old location. I think the building was an Uncle Buds or something. I'm going to stop buy and see if they can hook me up with a pair of glocks at a decent price.

I bought them at the Cool Springs Academy back in Oct. Didt think it was a sale since I had paid same price several times in the past.

I'm in the market for a pair of pistols. Specifically, I'd like to find a pair of fullsize (home protection) and sub compact (CCW) autos that share magazines and holsters. I'd like the pistols in .40 or 9mm. I also want hi cap (15+) mags. This search led me to looking at Glocks (g17 & 26 or g22 & 27). Anyway, during the search several have said I should look at the XD model line instead. Just wanted to get a few thoughts from you guys.

Academy sells 9mm blazer for 3.99 a box. They have the best prices in town on ammo.
