  1. My wife thinks that my gun collection is extreme. Its actually quite reasonable. Just wondering how many firearms you have? EDIT: Maybe not how many you won, but what number is too many??
  2. Not sure if this helps, but I just paid $425 for a mint G36 and $475 for a mint g34. Both were mint and had latest style frames.

    Plinker?

Yeah, take down on the ruger is terrible. That's why I really like the stainless model. Also, the browning is too pretty to shoot hard. Its a great pistol though. I'll share one comment on Skwashdem's comment about no slide on the Ruger and Buckmark. I've never had a single jam on my ruger. It digests everything that its been given. I attribute this reliablility to the design. Every full slide pistol I've owned in .22 cal was very dependednt on ammo velocity and/or bullet nose profile. Of course this is opinion and you know how those go.

Len: I highly recommend the basic Ruger Mk-II or Mk-III in stainless. I carry this pistol to the range about every trip. It always get the most usage. Its a pistol that everyone likes.
  5. Ordered Sun night. Received today. All line items filled!
  6. Guys: I just wanted to share a recent experience with www.CDNNInvestments.com. I've been needing to order some glock mags and I heard that CDNN was a good place to pick them up. Anyway, I ended up order 2 mags for glock 36. 2 new hi-cap drop free mags for a Glock 34.A hogue ergo grip for an AR15. A CRKT 3.75" Carson Design M-18 folder. For $101.61 shipped. As a bonus they tossed in a nice set of shooting glasses and a set of filet knives. I'll tell you their phone and web service is top notch. They will get more of my business. Mark
  7. Yeah, my wife's land cruiser does the same. Atleast, you have a decent tow vehicle when you pickup your next money pit.
  8. Based on some of the screen names, I think we have a number of auto and truck enthusiasts. Look like TNspeed and TNoffroad have few folks that have a few money pits that don't envolve burn't powder. Here's mine: Trooper (mine-trail rig): Miata (wife's -setting up for auto-x): Kid hauler: Daily Driver (company owned / not cool): http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/1/web/445000-445999/445519_128_full.jpg
  9. My father in law had a stroke yesterday. Things are not looking good. He's a Guadalcanal veteran that's served this country for 80+ years (WWII marine, navy captain, physician, etc). Not very many were cut from this cloth. Thanks! MArk
  10. I worked in the yard (damn chick weed), helped the 89 year old build and race a pinewood derby car, enjoyed a spin in the miata, tried to finish some welding on the trooper (too windy for the mig), took the boys to the church easter egg hunt, now enjoying a beer on the back porch. I love spring in TN.
  11. I work for a service company that primarily distributes book and magazine product to retail (kroger, wal-mart, publix, walgreens, etc). I direct activities that occur in our distribution centers.
  12. I checked it out tongiht. Looks pretty cool.
  13. I was looking at those. So you would buy again?
  14. I was about to make same recommendation. I love mine.
  15. I'm about due for a new pocket knife. I'd like to add an "assisted" folder with serrated blade. I'd prefer a pocket clip and tanto blade. Also, looking to spend less than $50. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Mark
  16. Bach and I are in. I'm cash poor right now, so I've been dragging my feet on registering us both.
  17. I often carry a SS snub .357. Its absolutely reliable, durable, and carries easily. The downside is controlability. Also, muzzle flash is beyond EXTREME. A followup shot at dusk or later would be tough. That said, I either download to .38+P or carry the glock 36 in the evenings.

    Nice collection!
  22. Get a 9mm. YOu can afford to shoot this round. I'd recommend a used Taurus, glock, or ruger. They can all be found for very attactive prices.
  23. Thanks for posting. It is always good to know who has your back.
  24. Since Jan, I've picked up a glock 34, glock 36, and steelharp's nicely built AR.
