I just tape an index card that lists item and price (specify cash or you get offers for $500 in beef jerky:yuck:). Beware fake $$. I've been offered some $20 and $100s that looked a little funky.

Don't both DirecTV and Tivo require a phone line?
DirecTV does not require phone unless you want to do pay per view.
-
I can't get it here in Clinton, but some phone companies offer what is called naked DSL, meaning you get the high speed but no phone service. It might be worth checking into, Dave.
You can add Vonage to any high speed internet. Home prices range from $14.99 to $24.99.

I'll be there. Will likely bring a buddy.

Guys: You are paying too much. My company is working with Wal-Mart on digital connection services. PM me for more details. www.iwantservices.com

I live in West Knoxville.

Is that range open to prospects or limited to members only? tHANKS,

Guys: I need to site in a couple of rifles sometome over next few weeks. I have a membership @ Owl Hollow in franklin area, but nothing in Knoxville. Are there any "open" ranges in Knoxville area that can accomodate high power rifles?

Talk to the Rabbi. He got me one for much less, plus he's a great guy! http://www.eastsidegunshop.com/
BTW, I love the dang AMD. The Hungarian build quality is much better than most AKs. Be warned.....The muzzle flash is INTENSE!

I'm going to go. I need to sell my glock36 and pickup a taurus 1911.
-
Unless you send the gun in Taurus has the worst customer service probably of any gun maker. That isn't just my experience, that is the experience of at least 2 wholesalers I deal with. So good luck with that.
NO hassles "lifetime warranty", but you gotta send it back first. Same could be said about Leupold, LL Bean, Ruger, Craftsman.

We did not get much rain, but apparently the humidity must have been pretty high. I just go through cleaning last of my guns and noticed that the dehumidifier box in my gun safe had about 2-3" of water in it.

I plan to be there in Jan, especially if its in Oak Ridge.

Guys: Great Shoot! Group was awesome! Weather held out until the last few. See you next time!
Mike/Austin: Did you either of you find a bag of 7.62x39mm on the first station? I thought I put it in my bag, but did not find them when I got home.

The tac-2 is a very good scope for the price. It has japanese optics. Very comparable to older nikon monarchs, sightron SII, pentax lightweekers, etc. The other low line models are chinese and are no better than similarly priced tasco, bushnell, simmons, BNA, etc.

Guys: I dislike the wood grips that came on my AMD65. I'd like to add something synthetic. I'm not a big fan of bakelite. Also, would prefer a solid grip instead of one with a compartment. I really like the hogue ergo grips that i've put on my ARs. Anyone know of something similar for the AK?
-
Guys: I can't wait! I've still not fired either the AMD-65 from Rabbi or the M-Forgery from Molonlabetn. Also, I just confirmed that a coworker will be attending with me.

I carry a 9mm XD-SC. Its the pistol I carry daily. I like it a lot but the finish and build quality seem lesser than the glock36 I use for CCW. Also, i really like modular aspect of my XD. I've got 6 mags. 1/2 are subcompact and 1/2 are full sized with spacer. I also like the way the mag pouches, holster and XD light group together.

About 30 years ago, I bought my first firearm at a garage sale. It was a Nylon66 for $25. Today, its still one of my favorites to shoot.
-
I carry a ceramic Glock 7 because its lightweight and invisible to x-ray. IT costs a month's pay, but it is worth it.

I think he meant take down lever or slide release??
-
I plan to be there with a coworker.

After the last few pages, I'm beginning to see why she didn't want to meet anyone from here in person.
I agree. IMO, this is one of the worst discussion thread that TGO has produced. Normally, discussion is less biased and more focused on needs/requests of initial post.
BTW, my wife's favorite defensive handgun is a Glock 34 (9mm tactical practical) with a TLR-1 light. She prefers it to any of the other handguns that she's tried (various Ruger & S&W d/a revolvers, Beretta m92, full and mid-sized 1911s, seecamp, AMD backup, Subcompact XD9, S/A Ruger, etc). If this lady is still around, I stand by my advice for her to visit Coal Creek and test out a few handguns. Given the creepy guy, I recommend a pistol that would accept a tactical light.

Yep, my mini has stainless beadblast action on a hogue overmold stock. That carbine can take a beating and barely show a mark.

Sounds like a bad mag to me. I'd pick an unissued aluminum USGI surplus 20 rnd mag and try it again.
